This turned out to be the perfect color for my...
This turned out to be the perfect color for my butcher block top. It does dry and make a hard surface, so be prepared to use a new cloth for each application. I used 2 coats of the hazelnut with sanding between each and then 3 coats of the watco clear. It’s exactly what I wanted. And it matches the stools I was already using in the kitchen.

That's odd! To ensure proper drying and performance of Rust-Oleum Watco Butcher Block Oil and Stain, it is essential that all excess oil is wiped off from the surface a few minutes after application. If there is any tacky residue on the surface, we recommend wiping it down with a clean rag and some mineral spirits.

I am only on coat one and I am beyond ecstatic!!! I did not buy this from Home Depot but I am reviewing here because of how quickly they answered my question. I did however purchase the 98” butcher block counter top from here that I am using it on. It is beautiful already. I will follow up with pictures after I am done!!

Great butcher block stain. Went on very smooth and dried quite quickly for a sealant stain, I thought the hazelnut would be much too dark but it ended up being the perfect shade and if needed I could’ve recoated to make it a few shades darker. Very shiny and very durable.
