I was unable to assemble the grill due to an injury. I enlisted my wife’s help and she got it together in no time. Did two compound butter stuffed rotisserie chickens within an hour of opening. Perfect.

significantly easier to put together than i was anticipating. gorgeous grill with a ton of features. pricey, but worth every penny.

Grill is very nice. It is getting older and needs some replacement parts. The web site for parts support is basically useless. Even when entering model number (which is not enough alone) and serial number (required if you want to get close). Then almost unreadable diagrams that are not well linked. It will take 20-30 minutes to get something ordered that should have been a few clicks IF YOU ARE LUCKY ENOUGHT THEY STILL MAKE IT FOR A CURRENT MODEL. You will endup at third parties where you don't know if it is OEM or poor quality third party parts. VERY POOR. I gave up when I couldn't get what I wanted all from one place. I will endup trying again soon. But I won't even start at Webers site.

I bought mine ten years ago. It has held up very well. The three heat elements in the middle have been great for steak. We have used the rotisserie several times for terrific, whole chickens. I like the vertical heat elements as they allow cooking on one side while warming or baking on the other. A year ago, when a couple heat elements rusted, they were replaced under warranty. I use the smoke section on the right when doing ribs, steak etc as it adds flavor. Even though we use it several times a week and year round and it sits on a deck with salt wind from San Francisco Bay blowing on it, it still looks and works well. I remember well how it came. The packaging was amazing. Very well thought out so easy to assemble.

I've only had the grill for a couple weeks, but so far I love it! Even heat, minimal flair-ups, and the smoke box and rotisserie are a real treat.

This is the second Summit series I have owned. The first one lasted me over 20 years and was used extensively. The only complaint I have it why does Weber use such cheap caster on a $2700. grill?

My family and I truly enjoy the grill. I've never been a fan of propane grills until we used the very same grill at an Air BnB. Within a week of returning home, we purchased the grill for ourselves. Easy set up and the food tastes great! Definitely will be used frequently. We love it! Highly recommended.

Weber is a well built machine - I've had my Summit Gold 6 for 12+ years (some parrts have been replaced in and out of warranty) I bought the S-470 as a wedding gift for my son and daughter in-law with great expectations that it will last as long as mine.

The grill is wonderful. Temperature control and capability is a huge improvement over my old 2004 Genesis Silver C (which was pretty decent in its own right and my daughter is still using it). I love the infrared burner, the rotisserie, and the smoke burner/box (and yes, I’ve used them all), although even at low temperature wet wood in the smoker box burns up faster than I’d like (still possible I’m not doing it right). It also looks really nice in my back yard. So no real complaints with the grill, but HD did not do a good job of tracking my purchase… at any given time they seemed unable to tell me whether it had shipped and when it would arrive. At one point I had two tracking numbers and neither worked. I can’t say for sure whether HD was at fault here or the shipper (XPO), but it was frustrating. In the end, though, it did arrive right when originally promised. Oh, one warning: The grill is very heavy, and comes (almost completely assembled) on a plastic pallet with a carton slipped over the top. The instructions warn that two people need to lift the grill off the pallet, but I did not have a second person who was capable of handling the weight. The pallet is fitted to the grill, so there is no way to just roll it off. I eventually figured something out, but it may help to know about this in advance.

This unit is very expensive so money better not be an issue. I like the grill and it does just about everything well. The grates are VERY heavy and I clean them after every use but then I don't want my fish to taste like hamburgers and my burgers like fish. The grates are round so they are easy to clean. The rotisserie heater takes a bit to light. Don not turn on any other burners until it is lit. The smoker and sear station are also fine additions. However, the lighted knobs do not light. Weber sent ME the parts to fix it. All that money and that's how they stand by this product? REALLY? Bul&$%t. Shipping was also well below standard. It took 2 months to get it. It kept getting lost. Home Depot did give significant discounts because of the delay but I was not a happy camper.

So far, love the grill. Everything works well, easy to use, didn't take long to put together and start using. Dear was a new feature that worked well in our inaugural grilling. The integrated smoker box was well received and heats up quickly to add smoke flavor without a lot of hassle. There are 3 things I would fix. First, the handle covers are easily moved and/or displaced making the handles not turn or off aesthetically. Second, the power cord for the rotisserie is just too short. Even if I was closer to my outlet in the old spot for my grill, it would still be too short. Finally, adding information to the page depicting the size of gas fittings and hose would help avoid extra costs when purchasing.

My old rusted out Char Broil was a pain to assemble. Weber was a breeze and definitely several steps up in quality. Already used the built in rotisserie and love it. So far worth the not insignificant investment.

Excellent grill that does it all! Allows very hot temperatures, sears if needed, great rotisserie with hidden motor, a nice sautéing side burner and a great exterior light for evening viewing of items grilling! Complete package! HIGHLY recommend.

Took 5 weeks to get the grill from HD. Assemblers scheduled two appointments never showed. Very disappointed.

This my second season with my Weber Summit. I use it at least three times a week year round. I live in Montana so a lot of my grilling is in snow and cold. This unit has enough btu's to grill in freezing temperatures. I absolutely love it. My friends have grill envy.

Tried to boil a pot of water for corn on the cob and not enough heat to do so- very disappointing

This replaced a storm damaged S-470 that was purchased in 2011. Like the increased stainless steel in the grates and flavorizer bars. Easy assembly. Same great grill

Great quality and functionality

This grill replaced an other Weber grill I have had for 25 years. I am really impressed with the overall quality of the materials and the construction and design. It produces an awesome amount of heat that is very even. Beat of all it is made in the USA.

So far, this grill is amazing. After getting help to lift the grill out of the plastic crate it arrives in, it was really easy to assemble the rest of the grill. In terms of cooking, it heats up to temp fast and maintains even temperatures across the grilling surface. I have used the rotisserie motor twice for chicken and also the smoker box. No issues with either, and the videos on the Weber site give you great tips on how to use both. No regrets on spending the amount of money on this grill.
