It is a nice microwave oven with a soft alarm tone. A lot more options than I have figured out.

However, when you set the clock, it doesn't register right away, and the time is way off compared to the actual time. Have to set it ahead of the actual time for it to be correct. Also, there is a smudge on the door, which I can't get to. Must have happened when it was being assembled. Annoying!

                Cool Microwave
                [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this little microwave, it looks sleek and the touch screen is really cool. The wifi doesn't work just yet, at least, I couldn't set it up because the model was so new it wasn't listed. Maybe soon.

                  [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Microwave does not stay connected to WiFi. Most always goes down and have to wait for it to reboot itself. Setting screen goes blank. Sometimes have to open and close the door a couple of times and hope it resets itself. Terrible music sound when timer goes off. Would be nice if it had options to chance the tune or type of sound coming from it.

                    Worst Design Ever
                    The controls on this microwave will frequently lock up, and because there are NO hard controls (everything is touch-based), your only option is to either wait 3-5 minutes for the system to restart itself, or unplug it. Don't even think about wiping the front glass down- that will cause the controls to freak out for sure! This will happen when you just want to pop something in the microwave for 2 minutes, or when you're convection baking something and the timer doesn't go off, because it's locked up (but still heating).

                          [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I loved the microwave when it worked. I had technical issues with it constantly. I hate wi-fi appliances. Finally Whirlpool replaced the microwave with a new one. I requested one that wasn't wi-fi. The replaced microwave doesn't match my other new appliances because you had only a wi-fi microwave in sunset bronze. I am also unhappy that you discontinued the sunset bronze color shortly after making it available to the public. Depending on the light in your kitchen the color can look different. I love the color. At the time I purchased the appliances that color was hard to find in Louisville. You can't sell something that isn't marketed well. I heard about the sunset bronze through HGTV and Better Homes and Garden Magazine.

                            [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This has got to be the smartest microwave on the market! It has the convection oven built in, which is important for us. If you want top you can put the app on your phone, scan the barcode of anything frozen, and it will send the proper cook time to the microwave! Want the best baked potato? Just scroll down the screen n the front of the microwave to the picture of the potato and press it! It will tell you to place your potatoes in the microwave and cover with a paper towel and close the door, press start. No time to set, no burnt edges, nothing! It senses the size of the potatoes and makes them perfect! Other foods are the same way! With the convection oven the temp is always perfect! Did I mention as soon as the cooking is complete, whether it's convection or microwave, it sends a message to phone to let you know the food is ready! Awesome if your grilling out and fixing something in the house as well! I cant say enough about how satisfied we are with this!

                                Over the range microwave
                                [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the floor model, as the color I wanted had been discontinued. Installation was fairly easy. However, the microwave has had intermittent issues since it was new. The screen goes blue and itvhas to be powered down to reboot. Steam from the range also affects it's operation. I love all the features it has, but will be calling for warranty repair or replacement. And I assume I will have to get one that doesn't match the other appliances.

                                  Malfunctions
                                  [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First MW malfunctioned intermittently with various issues including but not limited to freezing, constant resets, fan stuck on, unit operating but not cooking among other malfunctions. The door was replaced under warranty. The 2nd door is malfunctioning like the first and I'm currently waiting for the replacement. It's a nice looking MW if you're lucky enough to get one that works.

                                      [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It’s excellent at sensing the time required to warm up food or at making popcorn. I’ve enjoyed using it as a convection oven as well. However, I made a service call over 2-3 months ago. They came out and determined that I needed parts replaced that are from overseas. 2-3 months later, I’m still waiting. The only other complaint would be that the WiFi connection frequently resets itself which can be disruptive when done while cooking. Otherwise, I really do like size and features of the microwave.

                                          Failed conveniently right out of warranty
                                          Purchased an older but brand new model elsewhere... the one place that has 2yr warranty by default! Bought it in Q4 2018, and it failed in Q1 2021. It's as if the failure is planned. The model is not being sold anymore. So can't write a review for that. The unit failed right out of warranty period. The touch controls went bad, starting with slow deterioration and then became completely unresponsive, including the ones unrelated to microwave like cooktop fan and light. The diagnostics, parts and labor exceed the price of the unit, so off to the landfill it goes. The environmentalist in me is sad. Oh, and don't be surprised that they make you feel bad for not getting the extended warranty... what a racket it is! I've a strong hunch that the faulty door design is the culprit... it accumulates moisture from food in between its two surfaces, and that must've seeped onto the electronic board. I've ugly drip marks on the inside that can't be cleaned unless you crack open the door assembly. The unit here is similar, hence warning the potential buyers of this flaw. We will be very wary of Whirlpool going forward.

                                              Convection Oven My Fav!
                                              [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I didn't like the double oven ranges, I opted for a regular range and decided to try the over the range microwave/convection oven combo. I use it all the time - pies, rolls, cakes, casseroles, etc. come out beautifully. We also use the microwave function multiple times daily. The self clean feature is great! There are so many more features I don't use, but could. I have a Whirlpool range with convection oven as well. I am happy with both the range & microwave. My only issue is that occasionally, the microwave bugs out and I have to unplug/plug it to reset it. Otherwise, the only other issue is we don't get a parts list anymore - just the owner's manual.

                                                  [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The innovative features of this Microwave are amazing with the steam technology, scan cooking and sensor cooking that is associated with pastas, rice, vegetables and a comprehensive list of other options. After five doors and three microwaves, I still have trouble with constant rebooting of the machine and somewhat erratic behavior of the electronic portion of the more complex unit. It's like a test unit that is not really perfected. My previous Whirlpool microwave, without the technology, never had a problem for ten years from the date of installation.
