Since purchase on June 21, 2022, I’ve had three service calls due to temperature issues in fridge and freezer. Three times of discarding food. First time. Fridge froze food. Second time freezer thawed food and no ice. Third time, fridge froze food and while waiting for part fridge crept to 54 and freezer to 20. Air flow restrictions and limited shelving and bins makes this fridge unfunctional for large gatherings. Ok if solo. Do Not make my mistake and buy this fridge.

If you could send a user's video to show how to update the filter, that would be helpful. We can certainly Google it but anytime you send a quick tutorial that always helps and is greatly appreciated.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have only had this for three weeks. We needed a countertop depth, Whirlpool refrigerator, and this was our only option at the time. My only complaint is that there are only three shelves in the freezer along with a sliding drawer at the bottom. I would have liked one more shelf since it looks pretty bare in the middle. Other than that issue, it is great match to our other Whirlpool appliances and looks nice in our new house.

We bought the counter depth and it fits perfectly in our kitchen. It's beautiful and so easy to get in and out of. The crushed ice is a blessing and the water tastes fresh and clean. It's very easy to wipe down and looks lovely. I don't think I've ever been so happy with an appliance purchase.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this fridge several months ago now, we bought it because it is 35.5” wide and counter depth which barley fit in my old cabinetry. The fridge is beautiful, very bright inside, with a great digital ice/water dispenser. Overal we are very happy with the fridge, the only fair review is the water dispenser is slow pouring.

Because the icemaker is in the door, there is a bundle of wires that run from under the refrigerator to where they enter the bottom of the freezer door. The 3 inches that are exposed are in a plastic sheath. Opening and closing the freezer door causes the plastic sheath to crack and the sharp cracked sheath then cuts the wires. On my unit, 5 of the 8 wires became cut. Searching "Whirlpool Double Door Refrigerator Not Making Ice" on YouTube will lead to a detailed video with over 400 comments, many from people with the same failure. Whirlpool must be aware of the design flaw, but has not fixed.

This is exactly what we wanted. Great price and the delivery guys did an excellent job. They were fast and efficient. We are satisfied with everything.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Delivery went seamless. New frig appears to be running fine. Like the LED lights inside. It is smaller inside than my other refrigerator. Wish the shelves were adjustable. I also like the ice maker in the door.

The ice bin drive coupler split into several pieces and the surrounding assembly cracked with the first 4 months of owning this unit.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I purchased my new home, it was great except I had the absolute worst kitchen. Because I spent so much on the kitchen, I didn’t have tons of money for really expensive, high end appliances. However, I wanted a refrigerator that looked great and had ample storage space. Thus refrigerator is perfect. It has plenty of storage space, with options for shelf heights. Most of all, it looks great in my new kitchen!

There recently appeared a mark or discoloration at the bottom of the freezer door which I cannot remove. It appears as though the stainless steel is deteriorating. Any suggestions as to how this can be fixed would be appreciated. The refrigerator was only purchased 17 months ago.

One said it needed more shelves. I had all the shelves I needed. The ice maker and water are great. I love, love this stainless steel refrigerator.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Good overall refrigerator. The location of the light in the upper part of the refrigerator is too large and gets in the way. I would say this should be redesigned to allow for taller items to fit in the space. The light design reduces capacity.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this refrigerator 3 months ago. It seems to function nicely. I like the door ice and water, however, the gears on the ice maker have broken and it's been 2 weeks waiting on replacement parts so we shall see.

The doors work smoothly, and seems to have everything I need. The compressor is very loud when it comes on, but only lasts for 5-10 seconds and doesn’t come on very often (if it came on more often it would be very annoying). The left and right side of refrigerator bow out in the middle (see photo), not a clean look when up against the counter. Not sure if all are like this or just mine. All in all pretty good value and I’d buy again.

This fridge is small. I was desperate for a new one after my old one died & I was expecting guests. The freezer does not include sufficient shelves, so items block the vents and cause freezing of refrigerated items. The refrigerator is poorly designed as space is wasted due to the position of the filters. This is not what I expected from a $2000 appliance

Fridge seems like it could be fine, but been going back & forth with Home Depot over a month to have balanced, aligned, leveled. The installers contracted to deliver and "install' have clearly stated they do not know how to do this, but between Home Depot and GE, cannot seem to get this rectified. It would seem GE would rather replace a perfectly fine appliance vs sending a qualified, knowledge, experience specialist. Installed properly meaning leveled/aligned would straighten it up.

We purchased this fridge about two years ago to replace our 25 year old one. We like the refrigerator except food on the right side keeps freezing if it’s placed next to the freezer wall and the ice maker has already broken twice. Which has been very frustrating. We did order an extra shelf for the freezer.

The whirlpool fridge started off great for the first 2 weeks, then the circulating fan on the fridge side started to make noise occasionally. Then a couple days later it happens every time you open and close the fridge door. So, after a month, we are having a service call on a 1-month-old fridge.

I love the refrigerator. The only downside - it doesn’t have enough shelved in the freezer. I am contacting Whirlpool to purchase two more shelves. The refrigerator has plenty of storage units.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this side-by-side a month ago. Being counter depth and 21 cu.ft. It’s is naturally smaller than other refrigs. It was not hard to set up after delivery and fits my limited space nicely. I may order another freezer shelf and refrig door holder as this new frig was a bit of a downsize due to my limited space. Luckily there is room to add a bit more storage. The ice maker works well and I love the removable ice bin for easy access to carry ice to and fro.
