Purchased hood & extension. The inside edge of the hood was not properly de-burred so when the extension was extended, the inside lip of the hood scratched the extension. We r now fighting WP to fix this issue. Disappointed that this issue is so difficult to resolve.

Overall pleased with hood, B U T..........get rid of those LED lights! It overwhelms my beautiful back splash and I dont live in a prison! If you can advise how I can get NORMAL lighting, AMBIENT LIGHTING instead of INDUSTRIAL LIGHTING for the hood, greatly appreciated. Also for the money I paid for this, it would have been nice to get a charcoal screen instead of a flimsy grease collector screen for the hood. Its the little things that make a WOW moment.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The glass exploded like a bomb, so that was a bit scary. I was picking glass shards out of the paint, backyard, and living room. Whirlpool did send a tech out to replace the glass at no charge to me, but if I could do it again I would choose a model without glass. Other than that I am happy with my purchase. It works great and has no other issues.

The Whirlpool Concave Glass Wall Mount Range Hood is a beautiful appliance. It pulls the total kitchen look together.

Nice looking and quiet. About the only thing I’m a little disappointed in is it only has one setting for the intensity of the light, very bright. I think at this pricepoint it should have at least 2 settings, low and high. My cheap Sanyo over the oven microwave had 3 levels of brightness!!!

Beautiful.

The unit is beautiful. The only reason I didn't give it a 5-star rating was because there was a problem with the wiring to the lights (the connections were loose and wouldn't allow power to the lights). Luckily, my contractor was able to find and correct the problem, so now everything works. However, it meant more time and money for the install.

The driver delivering the unit was very angry with his job. I see the unit will not fit the vent on the wall, so I asked the driver to pull the unit from the box and check my options. the driver keeps getting angrier and angrier by the minute. I decided to reject the delivery since my personal integrity is being threatened at this point. I believe HD does not check who represents them in the last mile of the transaction. THUGS WILL NOT give a good impression of your business HD.

The fan is very quiet on the low setting. The high setting is very acceptable too. Installation instructions are adequate for a builder, as myself, even though the bolt hole template is slightly off. The LED lights are near the front, give ample lighting on the range.

I bought this unit 2 years ago... so far so good. Be aware, you will need an electrical outlet behind the stainless steel enclosure. I do have 2 complaints about this unit: 1) It gets really noisy when I use higher speeds 2) The push buttons come off easy.. kind of annoying. Other than that, It is a very good looking hood.
