I chose this to use as a baseboard for my office as I removed the old one while replacing my old carpet with vinyl. I like that’s taller than my old baseboard and because of that it covered the imperfections on the wall caused by removing old baseboard

Not solid wood.
I expected finger-jointed solid wood, but the product I received is actually mediocre-quality plywood. This means thin sections of the profile that are poorly glued can delaminate and require extra work to smooth else they are visible defects under semi-gloss paint.

I'm finishing my basement and these boards match the upstairs which the builder installed. I bought these because they were primed and better quality than the unfinished ones available. Also, put a second coat of paint on them and they look great. When I made straight and angled cuts with my miter saw, none of the 30+ boards splintered or had anything other than a perfect smooth cut. I also have a 60 tooth blade on my miter saw and don't recommend using a 40 tooth to cut this type of wood. I also used a nail gun with 2 inch # 16 nails which worked perfectly.

I needed to replace some base molding. I only had to buy a 4’ price. The equipment was there to cut the size that I needed.

Needs to be sanded before painting!
During the priming process there must be a narrow diameter roller that distributes the primer onto the boards. Sadly, that roller has a cut or is not wiped clean and puts a thickened section of primer every few inches to few feet. It's not where the finger joints are located so it's not a mis-alignment issue during manufacture - it's a prime-thickness issue where a line of primer is perpendicular to the length of the board. Sand if needed - then paint.
