So far so good.... my take on the splitter falls in line with most of the other on-line reviews- excellent performer and HEAVY. I bought a trailer dolly from HF and it makes moving the splitter much easier. One thing- be sure to fill the engine with the provided oil- it has a low level shut-off!

Splits everything! Heavy duty. Heavy tongue weight. Flip back jack support is worthless though. Had to put crank style flip- back jack with a wheel on it, to be able to hook up to hitch and move around. Motor starts first pull. 4 way wedge works great for splitting into smaller pieces. 2 way wedge is better for overnighters in the fireplace. Assembly is near impossible with just 2 people unless one is the Son of Hercules. Maybe possible on smaller splitters for 2 people to lift. Vertical position is nice for heavy big diameter stuff. Nice!

Have no clue I work 6 days a week opened the crate looks like many hours to assemble have not gotten to it yet.

Four way is small and wood tends to get stuck on it creating more of a chance for wood to fall on the engine.Other than that the splitter is working good so far!

This log splitter is performing perfectly. A great addition to the family. Very happy and would recommend the 35 ton for everyone. Don't skimp; get the largest. Been splitting 2 1/2 feet tree trunk of white oak with many knots. has exceeded our expectations.Thank you!Baruch HaShem Adonai!

excellent product easy assembly well packed. all credit for this purchase goes to Page. for some reason HD does not allow military disc on purchases made online. Lowes does. thanks to Page this was circumvented and allowed.we were ready to make purchase through competitor. your local delivery service is atrocious.Again Page came to the rescue.i waited 10 hours no delivery.the next day after 5 hour wait i was forced to threaten cancellation of sale was the item loaded on truck and delivered. had it not been for Page this sale would not have occurred.

big, heavy duty. splits like a dream. recommended 2 strong person assembly more of a requirement. Hoses want to foul when you stand that big boy up on end for the final assembly. Rotates easier for vertical splitting as the pivot point is 1/3 the way up. briggs-stratton fired right up, and this is a rugged unit. Very pleased

Instructions were easy to follow for assembly. It will need at least 2 strong people to assemble as the Ram is very heavy.

It splits the wood like butter! Amazing quality!

Extremely heavy duty. Comes complete with pre filled pre bled hydraulic system, engine oil, 2 and 4 way splitter heads, catch tables, and even engine oil. Cycle time speed is very fast but very smooth and controllable. So far on maple, fir, cedar, birch, and hemlock rounds up to 40" diameter, no stalling, no stuck wedges. Unbelievable how easy it goes through even 4" knots. Fuel consumption high (but I have been really working though massive piles). Very awkward to assemble due to main beam and cylinder already assembled with hyd hoses hanging in way and because of piece weight. Only negative is the non adjustable tongue jack. Final note, cycling between horizontal (smaller rounds) and vertical (big stuff) is very easy especially if you extend the cyl and splitter head fully out, to assist with their weight adding to the cam-over center action of the main beam. Much easier to lift up or down.

Fiancé loves and he was even excited about it coming with the 4 way splitter as well.

Very Heavy, seems very solid. I recently cut down a dead standing tree with no bark. I have been splitting wood with a maul or 16lb sledge and wedge for 30 years. This was very hard wood and very stringy. Basically a bear to split. Diameter was 2 ft +. With 4 way split attachment, splitter could only do a few, switched to 2 way split and machine had no problem. Finished whole tree in less than half an hour. I actually enjoyed and had fun using it.

Very hard to assemble

Awesome machine at a great price! It doesn't bog down noater what size log you're splitting, it just keeps on going.

Assembly somewhat cumbersome, however performance is fantastic!!

The 35 ton yard max splitter is very powerful . but it needs an adjustable jack stand on the tongue. if it had the adjustable jack stand I would have given it 5 stars

It's nice and solid. The only thing I noticed was the handle/lever is horizontal and not vertical like all the others. It also seems to take a few pulls and movement of the choke back and forth to get it going.ive only run it a couple times so hopefully that works itself out.

It’s a great wood spliter but you do need threke people to put it together. Very happy with this splitter. I look and and looked at a lot of them very impressed with this one.

Works great! The only thing that I did change was taking off the non adjustable trailer stand and putting on an adjustable that has a wheel. This unit is very heavy!!! I would also rather have a manual pin lock for the cylinder beam instead of a spring lock...it is very hard for one person to pull the spring pin and lift the cylinder at the same time. As far as splitting power...it is hard to beat!

Very easy to assemble with 2 people when you watch the video, came with hydraulic oil installed and supplied engine oil needed to be installed, just added gas and fired it up. Extremely powerfull, nothing slows it down, it is a bit heavy to move to the vertical position but this is expected with a log splitter of this size. Picked up on 1/19/2018 and split 2 cords of wood the following weekend with no issues at all, love it. The four way splitter wedge is also very nice which came as a standard accessory. Great product, had reviewed many others but did not have the features this has for the money.

Already cut 3 cord of wood with the Yardmax 35-Ton splitter. Runs great cuts even better. One comment, is when I am starting it cold it takes a few pulls to get it started. Briggs and Stratton you need a few lessons from the old Honda motor I was using before you. The Honda motor is still working on a 25 Ton splitter and all it takes is one pull. Other than that Awesome power on this Yardmax

With out doubt you will need a second person to assemble the 35 ton splitter....start up was a breeze and the most heavy duty built machine I have seen.

it's great, love it. Cuts labor and time more than half.
