The door itself was well marked and cut and consequently easy to assemble. The instructions for mounting the hardware were very vague and not suited for someone who is inexperienced. Overall a good value

The door was easier than expected to assemble and the quality is pretty good, not great which is why I only gave four stars. I would like to have paid less... I feel somewhere around $200-225 would be fair.

There was part that were split and big gauges out of another.

Extremely soft wood. Comes flat pack - nothing on the web site said you had to put the door together. All the pieces came numbered which was nice, but the stickers were a pain to remove. Some pieces didn't fit right - were slightly mis-cut. Instructions were very basic and could have been better. Highly recommend gluing this together and not relying solely on the screws that come with it. The rail comes pre-drilled for the mounting screws, but it assumes there's a stud every 16 inches. In a lot of houses I've renovated, they don't always do that. Had to get creative to mount it on the wall. Finished product looks OK but wasn't that impressed due to what I had to do to get there.

Do not buy. Piece of junk. The instructions are junk. Dimensions are a joke. Drill diameters listed as 0.39" and 0.22". Where do you fine these drill bits? Not at Home Depot. Their install instructions: "measure over 4.72" are you serious. The supplied track bar is not even drilled symmetrical. So much for 0.01" tolerances. Unless you are a seasoned cabinet maker like me, you will throwing this junk in the trash. The dry wall plugs and pre-drill instructions don't work, not to mention they will spin in the dry wall long before they tighten. Wood quality is not solid stock but glued up pieces with wood putty to fill in the gaps. Forget about staining this junk, painting is the only option. The item is listed as unfinished, could not be more accurate. Unless you want to practice your woodworking and engineering skills, I would avoid this product!

The measurements given for the install directions were difficult to follow. Rather than metric or customary with fractions, they were customary with decimals.

Assembly was required but easy and it looks great

Nothing in the description of this item says that "some assembly" is required. I was expecting a door slab to be stained and hung. Instead, I got a box of door PIECES to built it myself (if I wanted to built it myself, I could - and for a lot less than they charge for the "kit"). So, I had to have my son help me get it in the car and return it (which is why I had it delivered - so I didn't HAVE to try to fit it in the car!). Total waste of time and energy!

Easy to put together. Looks pretty. Good price what it includes (door + hardware, except for the handle). If you’re looking for a budget friendly barn door without compromising on quality, this is the one!

Door went together easily. Measurement notations were less than adequate when to came to actually hanging it .. Nice unit, but the instructions need to be better.

The wood was uneven. The directions were completely useless. The hanging kit and directions were ridiculously wrong. At one point, the directions said to drill a hole - where there was a screw. Measurements were very inaccurate.
