Huge disappointment
My Cafe dishwasher is now four years old and has had several repairs. At first it was great, cleaned everything amazing and super quiet. But after a year the inlet valve went bad. Then at 3 years a leak in a hose, which quickly followed another leak at the motor (need new motor for that part). Now just turned 4 years old and stopped cleaning dishes again. Replace inlet valve with a new model and the dishwasher still does work. Would say it’s over priced junk with a pretty handle.

Super clean so far
I’ve always been a dyed-in-the-wool Kitchenaid fan for 35 years but when I saw this Cafe dishwasher with it’s pretty copper handle, it looked upscale and I wanted to try it, plus it was on sale. The dishes come out perfectly clean and I’m impressed. The insulation was a little thin so we transfered our old Kitchenaid insulation onto this new machine and it runs really quiet. The racks inside are not as sturdy as our Kitchenaid but I especially like the big light that shows on the front so you can see from a distance if it’s done or still running.

Don’t buy this one
This looks like a good unit but don’t let that fool you. The soap dispenser door broke after a few loads and the bottom spraying piece melted over the drying element. Less than 2 years old. Stay away!!!

DO NOT BUY! I have owned this dishwasher for 18...
DO NOT BUY! I have owned this dishwasher for 18 months and it is totally and unfixably broken. The body of the dishwasher has come apart at its seams and it leaks all over! And the warranty is only 1 year! I’ve had a lot of cheap dishwashers in my day and none of them have ever done something like this. I’m astounded at what an awful dishwasher this has been and for the price of the cafe line it is completely unacceptable! And what’s worse it has damaged my brand new floor and brand new cabinets!

Buyer Beware
I bought the ge cafe matte white dishwasher, fridge and oven. I've been satisfied overall with everything except the dishwasher. It will be 2 years in august and we are on our 3rd dishwasher! The first was the wrong color (okay easy mistake), the second broke several times and now with the 3rd I just noticed this am that both of the bottom edges of my dishwasher has cracks and the matte white finish is flaking off and there is some rust. At first glance I thought I hit it but there are actually little cracks. I have called GE and they are sending out a repair man but the person on the phone told me the warranty is not for rust or things that don't affect the working condition. I forgot the term they used. This is disappointing because now all I see are the cracks on the front when I sit at my island. I'm trying to search the internet to see if anyone else is having this same problem. This was installed May 14, 2020 by the company that delivered it.

Beautiful, quiet and cleans expertly!
We could not be happier with our dishwasher choice, not only is it stunning in our kitchen it’s fits all our dishes beautifully, we love how you can adjust height of top rack to our needs. Dishes come out sparkling & dry, even plastic. Would highly recommend.

Final Touch
Following our purchase of a Cafe dual oven stove in June, we opted to remodel our kitchen. We next invested in the matching Cafe refrigerator. That was followed by the amazing Cafe microwave. - New dishwasher connection kit
- Water supply line (shutoff) within 6 ft. of hook up
- Electrical outlet within 6 ft. of hook up
- The rough cabinet opening must be at least: 24" W X 24" D X 34–1/2" H
