Bad tool
I really like Ryobi product but this one is a o e that should not be sells. On the first time I used it is just not working well, every couple of seconds it stop working and even week on high could not pick a twig. Also the seal on the bag is bad a lot of debris is coming out. Very disappointing.

      Easy clean up
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this and I enjoy using both my blower and my vac to clean up the winter leaves, I have different types of trees and the fall at different times, so it is nice to have a way to clean up with these tools, I keep my driveway clean and it only takes a few minutes to suck up the leaves and move on to other projects. I look forward to seeing what other tools I can use to keep my house and yard neat.

      Needs some improvements.
I was impressed with the suction but I have to agree with others who have reviewed this product, I too had a wheel snap off on the second use and just had the other snap off after about 6 or 7 uses. I just bought it about 2 weeks ago. The bag also lets out a lot of dust and you will be dusty when you get done. Not as bad as the other leaf vacuum I purchased from another company. The bag could also use a strap. I find myself switching hands often due to the weight you have to carry around after a few minutes. The nozzle also seems to be at a bad angle also adding to the weight since you have to pick it up higher to get the leaves to suck up. If these problems get fixed it will be a really good product.

I have only used it twice, but enough to provide you feedback. It worked fairly well for me, but I do not believe that a full bag is equivalent to 16 leaf bags... maybe 2 -3 at best! The battery charge only lasts for 35-40 minutes, but I was tired by that time anyway, and needed to rest while the battery recharged. One of the wheels broke off from the attachment that clips into the bottom of the vacuum chute. The plastic stem that one of the wheels was attached to snapped off during my very first use (see attached photo below). That design needs to be much more robust... can I get a replacement for that piece? Let me know how, if that is possible. Thanks.

        Destroyer of Kid Fun
Just finished my first use of the tool, so I can't speak to durability in the long run. I had the kids rake up a nice pile and they started to play. Shortly after I brought out my new tool and once they saw it in action they got sad. Big pile, about 6x8x2, damp from some light snowfall. The machine picked it all up like a champ. Great power until the end of the battery life. Occasionally I got a bit aggressive and ended up with a clog, but it comes loose easily. Don't know about the 16:1 ratio, maybe it is. I emptied my bag 5 times from this pile. The only down side is the battery doesn't last long enough to get the job done. 30 good minutes of work on high and just over halfway thru the pile. Then waited 2.5 hours for a full charge finding other projects to work on. Wrapped up the job in the dark on the second charge. Got about 40 minutes of work on medium. It was HEAVY, especially with the damp leaves. Still feeling it in my forearms the next morning. This thing needs a strap! Normally I'd spread out the leaves and mow them up, I think this worked better but took a lot longer. Biggest pro was I could easily clean up the flower beds. Also used it to get leaves out of the window wells, made that task a breeze. Wet leaves on the driveway came up without any effort. I worry about the durability of how the bag attaches to the machine. And the ring where the bag connects to the nozzle is poorly designed, never stayed attached. Overall I'm pleased with my first outing, hope to say the same in a few weeks after I've done the same job a few more times.

After one day of use the Ryobi bag is ripping from the top. The bag is not durable.

Very specific flaws. It sucks (leaves)
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First of all, it does suck up leaves (However you have to hold it is and specific, uncomfortable manner. I'll come back to this....) Unfortunately this is where I can no longer praise this device. This is saddening to me as I am a Ryobi fan and owner of many Ryobi products. One of the wheels broke off during its 4th use. [See picture] The opening where the leaves are sucked in is not at an angle that allows maximum suction to the leaves. When the device is held so the wheels are touching the ground (and set at the lowest level) and the bag is dragging along the ground (I read a Ryobi response in a review that the bag is designed to be dragged) most of the leaves are not sucked up. The opening is tiled upward too much and suction to the leaves is lost. [See pictures] In order to maximize the suction to the leaves, the device must be hoisted higher on the handle side. This causes the user to have to carry the leaf load which then becomes disproportionately heavy and the front handle becomes useless. I have to switch my hands so that my leading hand is gripping the trigger handle backwards and using my little finger to pull the trigger. My rear hand (previously on the trigger handle) is now under the battery to support the weight. Most upsettingly is the lack of mulching. I do not see mulched leaves when I empty the bag. I do see some leaves appear to have small tears in them. [See picture] I did not search through the bag to find only a few to support my claim. The sample in the picture is an accurate representation of the entire bag. It is very difficult to accept the claim on the packaging that it mulches 16 bags into 1. I have not seen a difference in the 2 huge bags that I have filled. I am very surprised that this product made it out of testing in this form. If you are on the fence about purchasing this, I'd wait until another model of two have come out. Hopefully corrections are made to its design.
