Q:Which nap for matte finish
by|Feb 12, 2021

Answer This Question

A:  Would stay with 3/8 inch nap. My question to you would be is what wall finish do you have? Is it sand finish, knock down, smooth finish or something else. The wall finish determines the nap length.

by|Feb 12, 2021

A:  The short nap is for enamels..Longer nap is for non enamel paints.

by|Feb 12, 2021

A:  With a paint that has a matte finish, this nap will work fine but you can also move up to a 1/2in nap for better production. Thanks,

Q:What is the diameter of the inner tube?
    by|May 12, 2020

    Answer This Question

A:  I am interpreting the question to mean the roller cover's inner tube's inside diameter. It is exactly the same as that of a longer roller cover, such as a nine inch roller cover. The diameter is one and one-half inches. It is a standard, so that it can accommodate roller handles from a wide variety of manufacturers.

Q:Is this good for rustolium paint on metal handrails?
    by|May 3, 2020

    Answer This Question

A:  I would say yes; however they maybe a bit wide for this purpose, but I don't see why not.

    by|Sep 8, 2020

A:  Although I have never used a roller to apply Rustoleum paint on any metal handrails, I have applied Rustoleum on wrought iron handrails, but could not consider using a roller because the railings had a curved surface and the supporting rails were less than an inch wide. To avoid unwanted paint splatter, this therefore required the use of a brush. However, I would definitely consider using a roller if properly primed and prepared metal handrails were wide enough to accommodate the width of the roller. In such a situation, using a roller could potentially save labor time in applying the paint.

Q:How do you clean roller when used with acrylic paint?

            Answer This Question

A:  Soap and water. I first roll it on a rag to get out as much paint as I can. It's amazing how much paint you need to get out. Saves on water and time if you do that first.

            by|May 21, 2019

A:  water, but generally at this price it is easiest to toss away after use.

              by|Jul 3, 2019

A:  at such a low price, I just roll out as much of the paint as possible and dispose of it.

              by|Jun 12, 2019

A:  I have always just used dish soap and water. I also use a water hose attachment tool that thoroughly rinses the paint residue out.

A:  Plain soap and water, but I don't bother. They are a pain to clean and inexpensive enough to throw away. I even use liners for the roller pan. Everything goes in the garbage. The one thing I do invest in is a good trim brush and the blue masking tape. Take care of the brush and it'll last years. It makes all the difference in the world.

Q:are these for concrete garage floors?

              Answer This Question

A:  3/8 nap would be for a really smooth surface, maybe your floors are. But for more aged floors with more imperfections, I would want 1/2 inch nap.

              by|Feb 17, 2019

A:  Yes, they can be used on smooth concrete garage floors, but please check the recommendations on the liquid you are using to make sure of the recommended applicator. Thanks,

              by|Jan 15, 2019

A:  What exactly are you using for the concrete floor? Water base, Oil base, some other heavy paint?, stain? that is what is needed to best answer this question.

A:  not even goo for walls i would hate to use it on ta floor

                by|Jan 30, 2019

A:  Depends on the texture of your floor. If it's rough I would go with a longer nap (1/2). If its smooth it should be O.K.

A:  For the most part, 'yes'. It doesn't shed small pieces, but on occasion can shed a substantial chunk which is quite noticeable and easy to remove.
