Q:When checking at the store, the price doubled when ordering black. Can I paint the exterior black? Or do you require double payment for a color selection? I assume the premium price covers the premium customer support? (see picture).

A: Years ago it was ok to paint the vinyl cladding, but only the Terratone color, not the white.

Andersen does not recommend painting the aluminum, fiberglass, or vinyl Fibrex® exteriors of our products as they are manufactured with a low-maintenance covering, and therefore have no instructions.
