A:  if it becomes too full of water then yes the water runs out. either by adding water thru the fill pipe or if it's outside and rain fills it. but if it's outside rain is going everywhere.

A:  I also have mine on a balcony over neighbors. There are overflow outlets on each end of the unit. I place leftover take-away tins under each outlet, with a rock in them to keep them in place. Invisible & overflow does not bother the neighbor.

A:  You don't want to plug the holes as you won't really know when you overwater without the overflow holes telling you as such.

A:  I don't see why it won't work the only thing you will need to be careful about is when you put water in the planter the water will run out on both ends when the planter is full. You need to have something under it to catch the water. Good luck.

A:  I never could. .Now you can make your covers to go over these containers. I used the material you use to cover your plants with to protect from frost and they work out perfect for me.

A:  Plants can wilt from over watering. Use a watering gauge or use your thumb to feel soil about an inch below the surface by root of plant. If soil feels moist, don't add water. Too much water leads to root rot.

A:  If your soil was not damp when you placed it in the box it may be repelling water - it'll run right through. Dig down & see if it's damp throughout. If not, SLOWLY add water across the box and stir a bit, then add more, etc., till evenly moist. Good luck!

A:  That's not normal. I have had two of these for 4 years. One started letting the water run out right away, leaking near a wheel. I am going to replace that planter.
