A:  yes it can . I've had mine for 2 yrs now .

A:  I Love my heater. Keeps my bath warm overnight on low so no cold floor and toilet.

A:  As long as you are present in the room. Heater should not run unattended.

A:  Yes, we do it during the winter cold nights on the low heat setting. Of course, keep drapes and things AWAY from heater. But, first determine where to set the Thermostat, to achieve a comfortable temperature in your room during the night. Start by rotating the Thermostat higher and lower and listen for the click, which is the on/off point. Try a little above that for the night, and you will decide if that makes room too warm or too cold. Adjust as needed, until it feels good. As nights get colder, you will more likely need to move Thermostat a little to run heater more.

A:  Use only with electrical wiring that is in good working order and that meets applicable codes and ordinances. This heater must be plugged in to a 120V AC, 15 Amp (or larger) circuit, which is a standard outlet volt.

A:  When the ambient air temperature is equal to or below the thermostat set point, the heater will automatically turn on. If the ambient air temperature is greater than the thermostat set point, the heater will turn off – in this state, the Power and Temperature Indicator Lights will remain illuminated and the ambient temperature will be displayed.

A:  I found that once it reaches the temperature setpoint and shuts off, it never comes back on again, matter how cold it gets. Not what I was expecting. Stay away from this one. Seems to be designed to shut off from timer or temp, whatever occurs first.

A:  There can be several variables in the kind of area you are trying to heat, and your expectations of warmth, but, a basic rule used is that the wattage of the heater needed is the area of the room times 10. For this 1500 watt convection heater, no fan, an example room size of 10 x 15 feet with standard ceiling height would be OK.

A:  I have mine sitting on a board, sometimes on the floor sometimes on the dresser. I don't think I would trust it on the bare carpet or anything that can catch fire easily, just to be safe. But then I wouldn't trust any space heater directly on the carpet. But I have to say it does a Great job warming up the spare room.

A:  You have to press the button to resume heating again after a power outage.
