Q:What is the minimum width of a cut possible? Seems like the gaurd is in the way to be closer than maybe 1/2 inch. I would like to shave off the edge of a 2x6 to make it butt up cleanly to another without a valley or losing much wood.

Answer This Question
A: We do not recommend to use this saw for shaving wood. Best would be to use a hand planer or planer.

A: The guard is designed to be easy to remove for narrow cuts. Keep track of your fingers, wear safety glasses.
by|Jan 14, 2023
A: You would run the larger side of the 2x6 against the fence to cut the round over off, not the other way around so the width of cut isn’t a concern in your situation

A: Clamp your work down with a 2x4 next to it so that the full width of the guard is supported. Get a 1/4 inch thick steel rod to clamp down as a guide for straight cuts.
