A:  Hello Carl, the Cable Stapler is built for residential wiring applications, primarily fastening Romex brand wires and cables. This stapler has a proprietary cable guide that helps to drive staples over cable.

A:  The DCN701D1 may work for this application. It is ideal for use with the following applications: Romex® Cable (NM Sheathed), Coaxial Cable, Ethernet Cable (CAT-5 / CAT-3), Telephone and Speaker Wire, Metal Clad (MC) Cable and Security Cable.

A:  The DCN701B is ideal for : Romex® Cable (NM Sheathed), Coaxial Cable, Ethernet Cable (CAT-5 / CAT-3), Telephone and Speaker Wire, Metal Clad (MC) Cable and Security Cable applications.

A:  The cable alignment guide is not removable.

A:  The stapler is only intended for driving staples into wood. It would not have been tested with radiant barrier reflective foils and would not be recommended by the manufacturer DEWALT

A:  DEWALT does not have a stapler that meets those explicit conditions at this time.

A:  I never used anything but the Staples designated for this tool. It is a Speciality Tool and I personally would not try anything else.
