Q:How "thick" is the grill? My cabinet doors are beneath the fan location, and the distance between the top of a door and the ceiling is 1 3/4 inches... so if the grill extends lower than that, the door will hit it.

A:  The thickness is about between 3/4” to one inch.

    A:  It measures between 3/4 and 7/8 on mine. Should be enough room if you have 1 3/4 to the ceiling.
