A:  It works great for everything! Better than any old duct tape I give it a ten.

      by|May 26, 2022

A:  Yes. Under all normal circumstances it would work great. Just probably wouldn't last long if used on a wood or gas stove pipe. Too much heat for the adhesive.

A:  Thank you for your question. Yes, Nashua Bath Fan Installation Tape can be used in duct installations where the operating temperature will range from 40-200°F. Best of luck with your project.

A:  Yes, its pretty sticky. I like to cut it into 6 inch pieces to make it easier to work with. If you tape it down and have to remove it, it can rip and you may have to throw it out and get a new piece.

A:  Yes, very. The foil tap adhesive is protected by a paper-backing.

A:  Thank you for your question. The Nashua Bath Fan Installation Tape features a foil facing and a clear synthetic rubber adhesive which is protected by a removable paper release liner. Best of luck with your project.

A:  It is not intended for that purpose, It's intended for unheated vent pipes.

A:  I would have to say no but I will let you decide. Below are the specifications for applying the tape and what is the optimum operating (HOLD) temperature range. As you can see, the max holding temperature is 125 (F). Maximum application temperature (F) 200 Minimum application temperature (F) -10 Maximum hold temperature (F) 125 Minimum hold temperature (F) -20

              A:  Yes, it will!

              by|Sep 4, 2017

A:  It will work on any duct that does not get above 400 deg.F. Higher temps will cook the glue and may cause smoke fumes. The foil itself will withstand 1200 deg.F before melting.

              by|Mar 9, 2017

A:  Thank you for your question. Nashua Bath Fan Installation Tape features a rubber based adhesive that unfortunately would not be expected to withstand long-term exposure to the high temperatures it would endure on a boiler exhaust duct and would not be suitable for the application. Best of luck with your project.

Flexible aluminum tape with super strong moisture resistant adhesive and it really has 10 yds on the roll Model # 1246857 Internet #205033915 Store SKU #1000042570 Nashua Tape 1.89 in. x 9.8 yd. Bath Fan Installation Tape Nashua has a lot of different types of tape, I chose this one because it is designed specifically for bath fan installation. It is UV, moisture and mold resistant. The most important reason was I am using it in a wet environment and it needs to be moisture and mold resistant. Even though the description and specifications say it only has 9.8 yds on the roll, there really is 10 yds. See photo. I replaced an existing exhaust fan but didn't have to use the tape because the new fan had a clamp to hold the flexible duct to the fan. The sheet metal didn't quite meet in the corners, leaving small holes. I used small piece of tape to cover them for an air tight seal. I found another good use for the tape. The new fan I installed was slightly smaller than the old one and I had about a 1/2” gap all the way around the fan. For a temporary fix I stuffed paper into the crack and used the Nashua tape to seal the metal edge of the fan to the sheetrock. The tape stuck and held fast to the inside of the metal fan housing and did fairly well on the sheetrock. Remember this is just temporary. This kept the insulation from falling down around the edge of the new bath fan until I can fix it right. When I read the description is said it has an “extreme high tack, aggressive adhesive and provides an instantaneous and durable bond to surfaces”. They are right, once you press it down it sticks and you have to peel it off if you don't get it in the right place. MORE INFORMATION: Tape can be applied from -10°F to 200°F Performs in all weather applications from 40-200°F The maximum hold temperature is 125°F The minimum hold temperature -20°F

                Really Works
I bought this tape to install a bath fan. Honestly I was not sure if this tape was just a gimmick and no different than duct tape but I decided to give it a try. This tape is not wrapped on itself like regular tape. It has a paper backing that you peel off once you are ready to use it. I used this tape to connect the duct connector to the fan and the duct itself. I also used a reducer so I used this tape to connect the duct to both sides of the reducer. This tape creates a solid seal and looks very professional (even if no one is going to see it). This is a great product.

Seals VERY well. Backing of the tape is a bit difficult to get off, but that means the adhesive is really good. Recommended for bathroom fan venting into the attic.

I used this inexpensive tape in securing the exhaust vent tubing to my new bathroom exhaust fan. Easy to use and apply. Just make sure the surface is clean and free of dust/dirt before wrapping to ensure a stronger adhesion/bond.
