The R11000 diverter valve allows you to divert water between two or more showering component such as a hand shower or body jets. A:  The kit needs a valve to work. Knowing the type of valve roughed into your wall will determine the type of trim required. Unless you can do a remodel and then the Multi Choice R10000 is the appropriate choice for this trim kit.
