A: I would think YES. We have grown a quite large wisteria bush on it over the last 4 or 5 years and it supports that with no problem. The trellis is very sturdy.

A: I bought 24. It took me 2 hours to assemble the first. After that, it took about 20-25 minutes each. It would be good to provide a video to show how to assemble one because the instructions leave out important info. They cannot be assembled in the order written by the instructions.

Q:The holes in the horizontals are too small to make this work.

Answer This Question
A: Yes, they are very tight, and not always well aligned. We had to use a knife (a box cutter) to enlarge some of them, and a mallet to carefully drive the verticals through.

A: I had to drill them bigger to fit them. Then it worked fine.

A: Buy yourself a small rasp to widen the margins of the slots/holes.

Q:I would like to mount this on a concrete block/stucco wall sideways …. does the top of the trellis (as pictured) match the bottom of the trellis? I can't tell ..

Answer This Question
A: Not exactly. The top of the trellis has the two domed caps as pictured. The bottom of the two main posts is hollow and comes with custom fit stakes in order to secure it in the ground.

A: i think the bottom ends were a little longer. You might be able to cut them to match the tops. Mounting it sideways you would need two more end caps to match the top. hope this helps.

A: The bottom legs are hollow to slip over steel that you place in the ground. It does look the same, but there are no caps over the ends.
by|Apr 22, 2024
A: Yes, both top and bottom have about 4" and then the top has the caps.

Answer This Question
A: Absolutely, it is strong enough. After I installed ours (we have two in a corner), my wife planted a couple of plants that are climbers in front of the trellis'. The plants are growing & healthy, the trellis' are standing tall.

A: Yes. It is very sturdy.

A: The trellis comes with short aluminum angle (90 degree) stakes to put in the ground or cement to hold the trellis upright. Because I wanted to put Jasmine on the trellis that I bought (7 total), I modified it be replacing the short "stakes" provided with longer four foot aluminum angle "stakes" to give it the strength to hold the heavier Jasmine. I also placed them in a cement foundation.
I hope this is of some help.

A: Yes, we purchased ours last spring and have a climbing red blaze on it. It’s sturdy and the Rose has grown to the top.

A: I would say yes, provided you support the trellis at some point near the top, perhaps within the top 1/2 to 1/3. My recollection is that climbing roses can apply sideways forces to trellis as they grow up. My trellis has worked very well with Texas Yellow bell, about 2 feet high, supported from the bottom. The trellis itself is quite strong.
