A: The openings seem to be measured from top to bottom, the narrow side is 1/2”. The holes in this sheet metal measure 1” long by 1/2” wide, in a diamond shape. Hope that helps!

A: #9 x 3/4 means. #9 is the thickness of the metal that is 1/8 of an inch. 3/4 means the diamond shape of the metal from the top to the bottom of the diamond shape.
