A:  Hi there - we're sorry to hear that your filter's taste has not fully met your expectations. Our filters do not add any taste to the water, as they only reduce the amount of chlorine and other contaminants from the water, depending on which filter cartridges you have. A:  I have no answer for your question. I took existing filter to the store to compare sizes. Don't even remember what brand or model I have.

A:  You should be able to unscrew the bowl and replace a cartridge filter. Make sure you find a compatible filter for that make and model.

A:  Depends on how much water you use. Averages six months, longer if there are only 1 or 2 living in the house and water usage is less.

A:  6 months depending on usage.

A:  They recommend every 6 months, but I do mine once a year.

A:  I change it every 4 months but it is good for 6 months. It is on a drinking water line only. We have city water and it is very safe but notice the water out of the filter is better. Put a notice in your calendar to change it and your smoke detector battery at the same time. Keep one on hand.

A:  Several conditions will effect the filtration. Example, the water pressure. it may be higher or lower causing the flow to be faster or slower. The type of water, soft or hard. there are many examples, so to give a + or - is a industry standard. Nothing is 100% if you want a better filtration, use reverse osmosis with several filters. and ultra violate light. i use this filter before my reverse osmosis system to not make it work hard i have a lot of old pipes and when the main is flushed it sends contamination so i use the above to catch the bulk. i also use this filter to keep my humidifier clog free. [it has a needle valve to regulate the water flow]
