A:  We purchased one and we're very pleased. The coil around the hose gives it tension. When you release it from the arm holder you manuver it that way The hose doesn't extend and retract like other styles

A:  Its not supposed to have any slack.  As a commercial sprayer there is no flow restriction.  This thing can spray the wall across the kitchen with the amount of pressure
