Q:Before I replace all my florescents with these LED's, I'm more interested in how long they are lasting for the many who have replaced them in the past years. They say 5 year warranty. But do they last 5 years ? Many reviews of bad lights from the start.

A:  They are plastic but still fragile. They can easily break and alot come broken at the store. You really need to look at the whole tube before you buy it. Got one set home and one was already cracked. Also had two out of four that only lit up half of the tube. I got replacements and am good to go now.

A:  Thank you for the inquiry. This lamp is glass but they are PET coated to help contain the glass in the event of breakage.
