A:  The metal doesn’t touch anything of consequence I did move some of the outlets a 1/2” forward to compensate the thickness

A:  I bought this option. Sincgle light switches and a four outlet cover- so I was able to find the same design in all color and configurations figurations needed. My store was out of one standard outlet - but they were able to order it for me at the customer service desk!
