A:  Yes. The switches protrude just fine. All I did is take off the older cover plate and screw on the new one.

A:  Yes it fits over the toggles to be able to use the switches. To be honest, it has to be the proper type of toggle..a single pole switch, not a rocker switch. I have never seen a switch plate that the toggles do not fit in the openings properly but rather "hide" beneath the plate.

A:  If you mean the switches....those things that go up and down....the answer is yes. I have had these two years. They look brand new. A bargain for the price.

A:  This fits as most any other plate. You can adjust your toggle switches to extend further out....

A:  I did not have that problem when I bought mine- it could be that the store stored them too close to chemicals. Sometimes cleaning them with baking soda and detergent can help the smell (it does with clothing/carpet), but be careful not to scratch the surface.

A:  Easy install, Looks Great!

A:  I did not notice an odor, but I bought several and some are still in their original packaging, so I will check....also they were purchased 2 years ago...I would think the odor would eventually disappear, but you might try a neutral odor retardant spray such as Lysol or Neuta-Air and leave the plates outside in a protected area. Hope that helps

A:  Yes so long as your togle is a standard toggle and not one of the newer style wide togles
