                  Q:What material is used to the topcoat. I want to apply another coating on top of this product so I can match the color of the existing floor more closely.

                  A:  All Heritage Mill floors are prefinished with a UV-cured, aluminum oxide enhanced urethane topcoat. Changing the color would require sanding away the factory applied finish and staining the wood directly.

                    Q:I intend to install this product on a particle board subfloor; floating installation. I gather from the installation guide that there in no need to put a moisture barrier between the particle board and this product. Can you confirm?

                    A:  You will need to install an underlay pad designed for floating installations, but a moisture barrier is only required for installations on concrete.

Over time under the stresses in a stair system plank pieces can detach or become loose presenting a possible tripping hazard. The best choice is a solid stair tread securely attached to the stair risers. Customer Care
