A:  It should not but depending on how sensitive the floor is and the weight placed onto the rug in the sense that backing is woven so our suggestion considering that this is also a small size is to add a rug pad underneath. Home Depot has a number of options and the rug pad will assist in many ways from keeping the rug place from sliding around, additional cushioning and also helps protect the rug and the floor in terms of lifespan.
