Fit perfectly under my 8’ x 8’ round rug in my kitchen under the table. Very comfortable and nice looking.

Very thin and bigger than 10x14, so I have to trim the edges.

So happy with my Mohawk dual surface rug pads! Let me tell you why. I have purchased many Mohawk carpet pads through the years & have them throughout my house over my oak hardwood floors & under my area rugs. I refinished the hardwood floors in a room I use for an office 12-13 years ago & put down a dual surface 5'-0'x7'-0" rug pad & area rug. I wanted to put a new area rug in my office to match the 16'-0"runner (Mohawk dual surface pad under it of course) I just put in my hallway next to the office, so I pulled the pad & rug up to move them into a bedroom that I recently (see photo) remodeled. The carpet and pad underneath shown in the bedroom was the one that was in the office 12 years. I found that the hardwood floor in my office looked as good as the day I refinished them & that the Mohawk rug pad was also in a like new condition! I was amazed & happy to say the least. The new 5'-0 x 8'-0 dual surface rug pad I just bought went back into my office with a new carpet & I was very happy to see the quality of the rug pad was the same as the ones I bought years ago! I don't have to wonder if the Mohawk pad will protect my floors and hold up through the years. I've seen the evidence! I examined a couple of the other brands & could see right away they did not appear to be of the same quality as the Mohawk brand. So based on my experience with the Mohawk brand I could not be happier to have found this quality in a dual surface rug pad that will hold up and protect my floors!

NYT Wirecutter made this sound perfect; we cut it to fit our wool Persian rug. But we’ve been frustrated for five months by the pad creeping out of place. When the rug and pad both gradually moved across the floor (2 to 3 inches after 5 days of normal traffic—2 adults and a cat), we figured we had set the wrong side down. We flipped the pad over, and this time it stayed in place, but after a few days the rug moved off the pad! Thickness is nice, but we’re still searching for a sticky solution.

I've ordered this rug pad for numerous rugs over a span of multiple years. It's great, offers padding and protection for the floors and has never damaged any flooring type. However, the one I ordered in December 2025 is not correct. The label in the package matches the appearance of what is on the site and what I expected but the pad itself is darker, much rougher, and thinner. I ordered another of the exact same Mohawk Dual-surface pad from elsewhere with the same model number and got the item I was expected. It seems some inventory may be mislabeled right now, so make sure what you receive is what you were expecting. I'll be returning the darker, rougher one. I'll try to attach images of the correct (lighter colored) one beside the incorrect one (darker on both front and back).

Love the pattern but the wrinkles in it are still there after several weeks.

I bought this and was initially pleased by how thick and cushy it is and what a deal we got compared to the rug place's overpriced pads. Put it under a new Revival rug in the bedroom. Soon noticed strange smell in bedroom. Did a rodent die in here? we wondered. I sniffed the rug and pad and decided no, couldn't be that, it's strongly scented like sweet vanilla. Ran a Dyson air purifier day and night for a week with no luck. Finally moved pad + rug into another room just to check--and indeed, the smell followed them. Still, we blamed the new rug, because the pad is so heavily scented. You can rub your face in it and you won't smell anything but vanilla. Finally, as one last experiment, I separated the two and put the rug in one room and the pad in another. Guess where the smell followed? IT'S THE RUG PAD. Do not be fooled by its sweet perfume. At its core, it smells like rotten eggs and a whiff of death, and the odor will always overcome. What the heck ARE those sticky industrial shreds and bits it's made of? I don't know, but now it's stinking up another room and I'm bringing it back to Home Depot. I can't wait to get it out of my life forever.

Not as advertised. This rug pad has a nonslip surface to be placed against the floor, but then the top side that the rug sits on has some fort of hard plastic sprayed across the entire surface. From reading the reviews it seems like maybe the company added this hard plastic film on the top side to prevent the rug pad falling apart and maybe counteract the bad chemical smell. There is a still a chemical smell which I don't want to have in my kids room. I also don't want ro out this under a hand woven rug as I'm concerned the hard plastic will wear on the weave of a hand woven rug. It might be fine for a viscose rug that has some rug glue backing. I am returning this item and purchasing a rug pad from the rugpad USA brand which is more expensive but has none of these issues.

I typically don't write reviews, in fact this is my first one, but I felt compelled to write a review on this product. I would strongly recommend against purchasing this rug pad. While the pad itself seems fine, nice thickness and good grip, it has a strong chemical smell that has not gone away after 3 months. We tried everything to get rid of it including; letting it air out, spraying with febreeze, and trying a light wash, nothing has worked. It has our entire upstairs room smelling of strong chemicals. The paid itself is fine but we can't take the smell and as a result we are throwing it away. Our area rug which was down before and did not smell at all, now has the smell of the pad, so we are airing it out and trying to remove the smell of the pad hopefully we can save the rug which was much more expensive.
