A: Hi MikeS, this is Sarah with Kohler Customer Service. I am glad to address your question. This is an error and we have notified the HomeDepot.com web team to have this removed. Our apologies. This is listed on some showerdoors when the bottom track requires drilling into the base, however, this is not applicable on this Echelon. Thank you for choosing Kohler.

Q:I plan to use the Kohler Echelon door with a cast iron Kohler Shower Base. Because it is not recommended to drill into the cast iron base, is the bottom track of the Echelon door only held in place with silicon No drilling required for the bottom track?

This showerdoor can be oriented either way, however, the fixed showerdoor panel must be installed on the same side as your showerhead. These details can be found on pages 3 and 5 of the installation guide at https://bit.ly/3BMwpD6. Thank you for choosing Kohler.

A: JP12, my name is Jessica with Kohler Customer Service. I am happy to assist with your inquiry. K-R707621-8L-SHP requires a finished wall to finished wall opening of 55-3/4"-59-3/4"; I do apologize, this would not work with a 60" opening. A door that would require a 60" opening would be needed. Thank you for choosing Kohler.
