Good instructions. Very nicely detailed. Low profile frame. A part was missing so I called customer service who gladly sent the part which I received within two days. I would definitely recommend Kohler.

Well packaged and all components seem high quality. Install requires 10 holes in the tile, so have plenty of 1/4” masonry bits… Installed over two evenings and went fairly smooth. The instructions for the sliding door and support bar are a little confusing. Also, make sure you install the wall rails correctly. I originally installed the sliding door wall jamb upside down as it was not clear in the instructions. The channel in the sliding rail should be offset of the fixed wall jamb channel.

My wall rails were poorly machined using dull tooling. Lots of metal filings, parts weren't deburred, and one rail was machined 1/4-inch off-center; too deep on one end, not deep enough on the other end (must be equal on both ends to assemble correctly). Kohler WILL ship replacement parts but ask them to expedite shipping because standard shipping can take up to SIX weeks. GREAT design though - not having a door rail to duck under is an awesome feature. Most parts are high-quality.

Classy shower door. Many tall friends will use these doors. Magnetic door close is extremely user friendly.

I looked at many before purchasing this one. I went with Kohler because or their reputation which turned out to be a very good choice. The quality of the door is State of the Art. Even the packaging is great. Tip 1: Download the manual before before purchasing so you know what you're getting into. Tip 2: Have an accurate 3' level. Tip 3: Don't rush it. Have another shower available. Tip 4: Get help with both pieces of glass. Tip 4: When the instructions say "Important" they are.

First of all, this door in the packaging is 81inches x 38inches and is SUPER HEAVY so you will need more than one person to help move it. I am replacing old plastic shower doors and/or completely remodeling my 5 bathrooms (between my house and cottage). I am starting a total "gut job" on a bathroom in which this Kohler Echelon frameless shower door will be installed. This shower door has so many great features: fit's opening widths 55-3/4" to 59-3/4", has no minimum head clearance on the opening door side which can be installed on the left or right side of your shower, Has CleanCoat coating which repels water, soap scum and residue to keep it looking clean (I use a squeegee after each shower so that I rarely have to clean the doors on my other "coated" glass shower doors, shower doors are 5/16" thick so they are very solid!, has a "magnetic" type of seal so that your door stays closed and keeps water contained. I have never been disappointed with Kohler bathroom products and they last for as long as you desire to keep them. This shower door will definitely upgrade the look and style of my bathroom and make it far more inviting to be in! I absolutely love it!!!

Looks great, feels solid and wasn’t a bad install. I decided to replace a hanging frameless shower door set because I kept hitting my head on the cross beam. My “irks” with this one are currently two fold. 1) the pictures don’t show the 5” L bracket used to support the top door guide, 2) the magnetic door close is nice, but does not align correctly - likely my fault as the installer, but if designed for do-it-yourselfers, more warnings and/or adjustment is warranted. Removal took a weekend+ a few days to repair the holes the old one left in the marble (colored epoxy). The new one went in over the next weekend. The instructions are rather good, read and re-read them before you get to a step. After some more adjustments, it looks great and functions just as well.

Beautiful, classy and majestic are the words that come to mind in describing Kohler Echelon sliding frameless shower door. Its headless, frameless design is gives it a clean, beautiful and modern look and allows taller people to walk into the shower without any restrictions. It looks great whether you mount it for your shower or over your bath tub. I love the polished silver color of the bracket and handle which goes very well against white tiles in my bathroom. The metal parts of the door feels strong and sturdy. This is quite a heavy shower door and definitely requires a team of professionals for installation.

Great set of heavy duty shower doors. High quality as most products made by Kohler are. These will give a sleek new look to our existing shower. We love the bright polished finish of these doors matches all of our bathroom fixtures, which is what we were looking for. The glass is nice and thick and rolls smoothly. We would definitely recommend these doors.

Warning: The door components are shipped in one box which is very heavy. I had to unpack the box where it was delivered because I could not move it by myself. The package sustained shipping damage and was partially broken open which made unpacking easy. Everything was loose inside the box, and I expected some damaged or missing parts, but everything was there and undamaged. NEXT. This door is different than most glass shower doors in that one panel is fixed and there is no overhead track/header so when the door is open, tall people can easily enter without ducking, just like a walk-in shower. The movable panel is supported by four wheels that roll on the threshold. Overall, the materials are high quality bright anodized aluminum, frame-less, 5/16 (8mm) thick clear tempered glass and stainless-steel fasteners. There are four chrome-plated plastic end caps—top and bottom of the jams—that seem out-of-place on a high-end shower door as does the plastic angle bracket cover. However, the caps are barely visible when the installation is completed. Setting the glass panels should be a two-person job for most people. I had someone lift the panels while I guided them home. Setting the glass panels took less than a minute. My walls were true and plumb so no adjustments were needed, but the design can accommodate up to 3/8” out of plumb. The rolling panel moves freely and has large, solid feeling handles on both sides. The manufacturer calls the finish “Bright Polished Silver” otherwise known as polished chrome if you are trying to match finishes. NEXT. The instructions are good and should be read several times before starting the installation. The fixed panel can be placed on the right or left but the illustrations show it on the left—opposite from my situation which made installation a little more time consuming. It took almost eight hours to complete the job. If I did it again, it would take half the time. And there are several things I would have done differently and in a different sequence. I would not secure the sliding panel jam in place until the after both glass panels are in place. This would have allowed for precise alignment of the sliding panel’s magnetic seal with the magnetic seal on the jam. Tape will hold the jam in place temporarily. The rough opening for my shower stall is 60”, but the actual opening to the shower is only 56”. Each glass panel is 31-1/2” wide (total 63”) which means the panels overlap each other by 7”. The result is that the 21-1/2” the opening is ½” short of being code compliant. The specs say that it fits openings as small as 55-3/4” but the number should be 56-1/2” minimum to meet code. Further, the overlap prevents access to the lapped area for cleaning AND I could not install the cover plate for the wheel assembly in the lapped area. I had to remove the glass panel, install the cover and reinstall the panel. I have not figured out how to clean the overlap area so be sure to clean this area on the panels before installing them. This door is really for showers with 60” openings NOT “60” fiberglass showers” even though the specs stated that it would work. NEXT. As my installation was on a fiberglass shower stall, the flangeless plastic inserts provided did not work. They pushed on through the fiberglass and the barrel did not have any “teeth” to prevent turning. I found some suitable inserts and used the SS screws provided. Another item I added was a thin—0.050” thick—setting tape in the threshold groove for the fixed glass to provide some cushion and separation between the glass and the aluminum. The weight of the glass probably compressed the tape to half that thickness. I was not comfortable with placing glass directly on metal and it did not affect the rest of the install. There were two plastic pieces left over that were not shown on the illustrations or mentioned in the instructions. They have a groove on one side that is the thickness of the glass so my best guess is that they are “chairs” that can be used to protect the bottom edge of the glass and then removed when the glass is set. NEXT. The glass is treated with a CleanCoat+ finish that is supposed to shed water without the need for a squeegee. Water does form large beads and most of it runs down the glass and what is left appears to dry without leaving streaks.

We've been going with Kohler in the last 5 years for Shower Doors. The kits are pretty much complete, unless it's the type that is door only and the handles & parts are sold separately in different colors. The glass they have is SOLID. I've yet to see one break during delivery, which is amazing. The entire trick is the Install. I think Kohler is the best, as they are the most experienced at producing DIY shower doors & kits.

If you want a frameless shower door that is not flimsy, the Kohler Echelon is a perfect choice for you. As you can see from the pictures, it comes in a huge box. It took up the entire front step of the house. Alone, I could barely move it off of the front step so we could get in and out and the mail could be delivered, etc. You will need to be extremely strong if you wish to move or install this item on your own. It's high quality is obvious.

The clear glass shower doors arrived and they are absolutely gorgeous and I can not wait for the installer to add them into my bathroom. I love the beautiful clear glass and the thickness is just perfect. These shower doors came with all necessary hardware and install instructions. The quality of the glass has exceeded my expectations of what a shower door could be. Large clear glass doors to let the light in and make my day even more better.

The concept is good but I have bought better. Areas of issue. 1- stabilizer arm doesn’t keep the doors as still as they should. Too much play when in the open position. 2- rubber gaskets between doors to prevent water from going through are super squeaky when wet. Very annoying.

The only door I found that didn’t have a bar over the entrance.

Good quality doors. They look really nice and were relatively easy to install. Glad I decided to go with these.

Very pleased with this shower door. Opens and closes easy. Nice having no obstructions in the glass to view our tile.

Not all the pets were in the box.

We really like this door. The glass is heavy the track system is great. There is no overhead track so it provides a clean look. The magnetic seal is also a nice feature the door closes quietly and seals great against the magnet. The only downside is where the glass overlaps each other. I haven't figured out what to use to clean between the 2 parts. This is a pricey door but we are happy to have spent the extra money.

I still have not received my shower doors. Bought them on February 26. Today is March 12,2024

The shower doors are sturdy and we are very pleased with them.

First ordered this about 45 days ago. Wrong item was sent and picked up by me. I had to return it and reorder. The second order never arrived and the store reordered again. This has been nothing but messed up.

The setup isn’t as complicated as some of the reviews indicate. If you take your time and go step by step, it’s a 3 hour job. The molly anchors that are provided are low quality, I would recommend having your own on hand. Great product overall.
