Q:Can this be placed over shingles?
        by|Mar 10, 2024

        Answer This Question

A:  Hi Justme, we don't recommend to use the Lanco Aqua-Proof Primer over shingles, this product is like a liquid rubber. You have to remember that you will loose any warranty that you have on the shingles. With shingles you should have a well ventilated attic if not you can have problems on your roof in the future. With this product your shingles will not be able to breathe and with heat condensation may form. This can cause problems in the future.

          Answer This Question

A:  Hi Randy, the Lanco Aqua-Proof will work, but for your type of application we would suggest to use the Lanco Aqua-Proof Prep with it's multi use nature makes it ideally suited for a wide variety of applications where a waterproofing solution is needed, such as: to repair cracks and leaks, seal joints and flashings, waterproof under tile and stone and as a waterproofing shower pan liner. You can al so use the Lanco Siliconizer Sealer, which is used for sealing leaks and cracks of all types on any smooth surface. Use around penetrations, flashing and broken tiles. Excellent for repairing expansion joints, containing wall joints, sealing plumbing and electrical intakes.

A:  Hi Aaron, have not come across this question often, but what I can say is that Lanco Aqua Proof will adhere to wood and will create a wood proof barrier. With that being said this product is not UV resistant and un sure if the product would affect your fish.

                  Answer This Question

A:  Hi Dik629, here are the suggested directions AIR PUMP METHOD :The recommended equipment is an airless pump with pressure of 1,500 to 2,000 psi. A fluid delivery of 1 to 2 gallons per minute with a spray tip of 0.026 to 0.035 will be adequate. Wait 24 hours between coats. The hoses should be at least 3/8" inside diameter and of the high-pressure rate type. If the hose length is more than fifty feet, a larger inside diameter will be required. Only use a gas powered sprayer. The electric sprayer can burn down. We recommend GRACO and I see that you have one.
