Q:Is it a defect where randomly it takes 15-45 seconds for the light to turn on with the 3 way setup. Seems to only happen if I turn on via the master switch. The switches light just shows as though its about to turn on but resets to the bottom and repeats.

A: Currently, there's no industry standard or regulation for manufacturing LEDs, which is why performance varies with dimming controls. That's why we extensively test a variety of LEDs from many different manufacturers, and offer a mobile-friendly web tool to help you select bulbs that provide the best dimming performance with your Lutron dimmers. To access the tool, please visit lutron.com/ledfinder.

Answer This Question
A: Yes but be sure that you follow the wiring diagram EXACTLY. Do not wire these while the circuit is live and make sure you have everything wired precisely before we you turn the circuit on. These are very delicate and sensitive to mis-wiring. You will blow them up if your not careful.

A: Yes, the MACL-153M can be used in a 4-way or multi-location with the use of the companion dimmers - MA-R. Up to 9 companion dimmers can be used with the MACL-153M which allows switching and dimming control from each location.

A: Yes they will. Lutron maestro is one of the better switches out. You can also get a pico switch for that maestro switch put it anywhere in your house within 30 ft and control your lights. I know I went on about the switch but yes again it will work for your 6 “ commercial lights.

A: Both of those model numbers will have identical dimmers. The part of the model number following "153M" refers to the packaging and color of the device.
Currently, there is no industry standard or regulation for the manufacturing of LEDs and the performance will vary with different dimming controls. With this information in mind, Lutron performs extensive testing on a variety of LEDs from many different manufacturers and posts our most up to date testing information on our LED compatibility tool. Lutron would suggest visiting www.lutron.com/ledfinder or www.lutron.com/ledtool to find compatible LEDs for a Lutron dimmer.

Q:Can you use either switch independently

Answer This Question
A: The MA-R companion dimmer that comes with this kit cannot be used independent of the MACL-153M master dimmer. For any single pole applications, Lutron recommends using the MACL-153M. For any multi-location lighting circuits, Lutron suggests one MACL-153M and the remaining locations be MA-R.
