Questions & Answers

How do I install the blade?

Asked by Bill May 18, 2018

There is a small lever on the left of the it which releases the extended blade...pull it out with your fingers

Hi I can't seem to work out how to use this knife. Could you redirect me to a page where it shows me how it works

Asked by Nikesh January 13, 2017

Don’t do anything until you watch this, or you May get a blade stuck in there and end up going nuts taking it apart and the putting it back together.

Super comfortable!
Customer review from logo
I’ve had this knife for a few weeks and I was able to really put it to the test in our warehouse. The weight of the knife is very comfortable and the slight angle helps the knife fit in my hands very well. I’ve owned the older versions of this utility knife and I really enjoy all the up grades. I noticed there’s more rubber grips to secure your hand from slipping. There Isn’t any hardware you need to remove to access blades. The blade remover doesn’t ever get stuck and is easy to use. And one of the best upgrades are that they added a plastic liner where the blades are stored so the tips of the blades don’t break and the blades stay sharp when being stored. Great Improvements
Customer review from logo
The blade release is smoother and easier to actuate. The grips now have "tread" making it more stable in a gloved head. The blade storage trap door is sturdy. I am a big fan of all these up grades, however the gear loop is cheaply made and pretty much unusable. With "premium" in the name I was hoping for a metal body but this one is mostly plastic (attached pictures of old style vs new). Overall very pleased. Huge improvements

One of the biggest changes is the fact that the blades store in a compartment so the top piece pops up. The rubber grips make it easier when cutting so it doesn’t slip loose in your hand. I also like the little clip on the end, I like this model better than the previous version. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Sturdy, Comfortable Utility Knife
Customer review from logo
This is a really sturdy feeling utility knife, with a metal frame extending throughout the whole thing. The rubberized grip portions are well placed for a variety of handhold positions - I particularly like the thumb pad right behind the blade for extra leverage. The extending/retracting mechanism is smooth, with a stop for fully retracted, one for 1/3 extension to allow for shallower cuts, another at 2/3 extension, and one for full extension. The quick change blade lever works well so far, and is much easier than some other utility knife designs where you basically have to disassemble the knife. Speaking of which, the blade storage is really convenient too. There's a lever at the rear of the knife that pops open the waterproof compartment that holds up to 5 extra blades. There's even a rubber gasket built in to protect the spare blades from moisture and rust. I think the only complaint that I have is the spring clip on the back end of mine is a little deformed, and won't close properly on its own. I have to wiggle it into place to get it completely seated. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Read the directions...
I was a bit hesitant to buy this knife because so many people panned it due to the issue with inserting in unloading the blades. The first thing I did when I got my knife was take it apart. The issue with the blades is that there’s a little spring mechanism inside that needs to be engaged to hold the blade and retracted to remove the blade. That’s done with the little black lever on the side. I think the issue is that the lever does not have very positive feedback as to when it’s in the right place for the blade to be removed. You can actually push it down and get a small click, which means the locking mechanism is out of the way and the blade can be either inserted or removed. I included some pictures. For use, the knife fits nicely in the hand. It’s stable and easy to use. The blade is easily retracted. The blade is held securely and with the help of the lever on the side can be removed easily.

Owned For 2 Years
I have abused this knife for two years and it's the best knife I've ever owned. Don't listen to the naysayers. They are trying to remove the blade incorrectly. You have to extend the slide ALL THE WAY FORWARD and the blade comes out smoothly.

I used like 5 months for every day and suddenly brake a peace inside that push the blade to change it.

Great utility knife blade storage
Customer review from logo
When I began using this utility knife it was very comfortable as the rubber grip helps maintain a steady firm grip. The storage unit is also well designed and you don't have to unscrew any parts to replace the blades. The clip on the end secures the knife, the only thing this utility knife needs is a clip like holster to carry around. I was still satisfied with the results of this knife as it helped me tackle down obstacles throughout the jobsite like cutting roof, carpet, plastic or even pealing wire, scraping or cutting other miscellaneous objects. I would recommend my friends on purchasing a great tool like this to add to their tool box. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Waterproof blade storage! Great utility knife!
Customer review from logo
I really like this knife. Heavy and sturdy with nice over-molding for good grip, and rubber pads on the front sides and top for good control when doing detail work. Stand out features, aside from those three rubber pads up front, are the carabiner clip to tether the knife when on a ladder and the waterproof blade storage. WATERPROOF BLADE STORAGE!!! Amazing! This feature is awesome. Monsoon season here in AZ renders anything even remotely outside and uncoated rusty and that leaves unsightly marks. Previously I had to leave my new blades in my sealed toolbox to keep them nice, but with a rubber seal for the on-board blade storage, my blades stay perfect regardless of the weather. Perfect weight and shape, a nice carabiner for a tether, waterproof blade storage, easy change blade (see my video), great control from the rubber handle and front pads all add up to a really, really nice retractable blade utility knife. This is my new go-to.

This knife is going back to the store it's garbage. I purchased it because it was so comfortable in my hand but when I got home and attempted to install the blade FOR THE FIRST USE I cannot get the blade locked into place, a simple task on other brands this is completely ridiculous! In fact the only time it seated into place correctly was by jamming it on a piece of wood. A blade CANNOT be worked into place without forcing it and that is an avenue for a serious cut. Secondly the carabiner appears to be broken right out of the packaging. NOPE taking it back and buying the Husky like I should have done in the first place.
