A:  We have this exact set. The space where the towel hangs measures 20 3/4". The 24" measurement is a center-to-center measurement for the mounting brackets for the towel bar end caps. The finish on our set is an oil rubbed bronze (darker brown/bronze) with a gold accent ring. Hope this helps.
