A:  Hello! There are no set range of cycle times for this model of washer. Cycle times vary depending on water pressure in the home, load size, amount of detergent used etc. The unit also has a soil sensor, which would sense the soil on the clothing. Which in return would adjust the time. The time in the display is an estimated time only and may adjust.

A:  Hello! Extra Power delivers boosted stain fighting on any wash cycle while the Power™ impeller helps dissolve soils with a vigorous wash motion. It would depend on the load you are doing and if assisted is needed with soils.

A:  Hello Robbi, for model MVW5430MW, the laundry detergent would go directly into the tub. ADDING LIQUID FABRIC SOFTENER If you desire to use liquid fabric softener with this washer, Maytag suggests using the Downy Ball ® dispenser. Pour a measured amount of liquid fabric softener into the Downy Ball® dispenser, pull the ring tightly to seal it, and place on top of load. Follow manufacturer’s directions for correct amount of fabric softener based on your load size. The Downy Ball® dispenser will automatically release the fabric softener at the correct time in the cycle. For questions on using the Downy Ball® dispenser visit www.downy.com. NOTE: When using fabric softener, always use the Soil & Rinse knob to select a setting with ‘+Extra Rinse.’ This will ensure that no fabric softener remains on clothing after the cycle is finished. ADDING LIQUID FABRIC SOFTENER MANUALLY IMPORTANT: Select the Fabric Softener option on the control panel before starting a cycle. During the final rinse, wait until the washer has completed filling, press the Start/Pause button to pause the washer. Lift the lid and add the recommended amount of liquid fabric softener. Close the lid, press and hold the Start/Pause button to resume the cycle.
