I bought this washing machine for my new house, i was trying to avoid going to the laundry mat. It seemed simple enough a washing machine is a washing machine. Far from the truth! It seems the main problem is it doesn’t have a agitator. The clothes on top stay on top , the clothes on the bottom stay on the bottom. I feel like i got ripped off! I paid good money for this machine and I had options. Ive read and followed the directions . Its 2 months old and im frustrated every time i wash. My only recourse is to sell it , possibly at a loss or deal with it. Buyer beware!

3 YEARS OLD AND ALL THE GREASE IN THE TRANSMISSION HAS LEAKED OUT ONTO THE FLOOR UNDER THE WASHER AND NOW LEAKING WATER. NO SIGNS OF THE GREASE TILL I SEEN WATER AT FRONT OF WASHER IN THE FLOOR AND I PULLED THE WASHER OUT TO SEE WHERE IT WAS COMING FROM. I WISH MANUFACTURERS WOULD START WORRYING ABOUT QUALITY AND NOT QUANTITY!!!

The start button has to be pushed firmly to start the washer so I wonder how long it will last? The instruction manual should explain more about deep fills. The dryer door is difficult to open.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this a month ago and I love it!! Always buy Maytag, they last for a a long time.

When my family and I moved we needed to upgrade our washer and dryer system. This Maytag gets the job done. It washes well, holds large blankets and is rather quiet. It has lots of options for sizing, water depth and whether it needs heavy duty washing. I highly recommend!

Junk! Do Not Buy. I purchased this MayTag top-load to replace a GE topload with an agitator. Reasons I dislike this washer include: This MayTag takes twice as long to wash. It never completely rinses out the soap (even using the extra heavy rinse feature which takes nearly 2 hours). If you wash colors after a load of whites with bleach, it ruins the color load (my GE never had this issue. This MayTag ruined my best pair of Levis). The start/stop/pause button is confusing. Sometimes I don't realize I didn't start the load. It is double the noise. I can hear it from upstairs (with the laundry room door closed). This washer is terrible. Do Not Buy! This washer is worse than the cheapest topload GE (that I had before). I am patiently waiting 7 to 8 years; until this washer inevitably fails; and I will go back to what I had before. I am seriously considering junking this, and buying what I had before. So sad! :(

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Have had the washer about a month, too soon to tell if it will last! I like all the features, easy to operate. One downside is that it does have a computer chip, which in the long run can go bad. Gone are the days of totally manual. Washers and dryers. The other downside is it takes about an hour to cycle through the load which is longer than my old washer. However, the clothes are very clean when done. In general I I am very pleased with this washer so far. The test of time will tell how good this washer really is.

I tried every cycle possible. Less detergent, warm water, extra rince, high water level etc. and I still can't figure out how to get clothes to clean proprely. I just did a small load thinking I may be overloading it and Items seem not even clean and some have dry spots. I printer out the cycle guide to see all then different washing combos possible but nothing works.

Clothes come out very clean and the capacity if it is great. I can do what would have been two loads in my previous machine in just one load with this one. Highly recommended.

I can hear it all the way across the house dot and it doesn't spin out the clothes very well at all which takes twice as long there to dry them in my dryer so or I was actually very disappointed… Sorry.

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) The washers cleans quite well and I like the deep fill, but find it quite noisy and there is no buzzer to tell you the wash has finished. Also had a couple of issues at the beginning where it took a very long time for the cycle to run through. Too much time on the load balancing and fill.

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) The washer works well with the exception when it spins. The laundry seems to go to one side and the washer moves around though I do check to ensure that the clothing are placed equally to try and prevent the loud banging and moving of the washer.

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) It is a nice wash machine but I find the Pause button a bit confusing. Sometimes if I need to readjust the load the pause doesn’t open the lid right away so I need to start over. Maybe I’m doing something wrong.

This washer had pretty good reviews so I dismissed the ones who complained as overly sensitive folks but here's the honest truth. I had my old Kenmore 20 years and it was not terribly quiet bit it did its job well. when I couldn't fix it, I knew a new one would be different. I wanted no center post this time. This washer is LOUD. LIKE THIThis washer is really LOUD. No exaggeration or unreasonable expectations here. also, the basket moves a lot side to side. it doesn't seem to have the balancing features other washers have. in a full capacity, my towels did not churn the way I would expect. The top towel stayed on top and did not wash as well as the bottom layers. I don't overload. a 15 minute quick wash was handy for a small load of a couple of light soil things. the basket is so smooth. maybe if it gave a bit of resistance, it would roll things better. this just swisher clothes in a circle, not a true aggitation. no manual to explain vague functions and the start button you have to hold down is stupid. nice and big though.

The washing machine was not supposed to be HE and is in the instructions. It does not fill enough and I can not control it. It does not say any where what the water faucet feature means. It just beats up the clothes!! I do not like this $800 machine

I made sure to use a level to set the machine straight before placing it in the laundry room. I was worried after reading some reviews that it would be loud during the spin cycle, but it’s much quieter than my previous washing machine before. So far I love it, and hopefully it will last for decades like my last one did!
