A: Hi! We currently do not offer any subway or trim pieces that directly coordinate with our Klinker Alcazar. If interested, we do offer a solid colored square field tile that is meant to coordinate with this product. You can find our Klinker Retro Blanco here https://thd.co/3zXStIi. Q:Hello! I have purchased these tiles. They are beautiful! I am planning to use 4 of these tiles as a back splash just behind the stove. It is my experience when decorating with tile that the grout is more high maintenance and harder to keep clean than the tile. So I am wondering, does grout have to be used in between these tiles or can they be placed right up against each other, eliminating the spaces and the need for grout? I have seen tile installed in this way before. Thank you very much.

A: For grouting, you can place these tiles right up against each other (if you can align the design good enough), but the grout line will be wider than you anticipate. The tile edges have a slight slant inward, and will make the grout line look wider on top of the tile because of the slant. If you want the grout lines not to show up as much, don't use a pure white grout--use something like a white grout with a hint of gray in the color--this is what I wish I would have done. I would think about the consequences of not using any grout at all, even when they are butted up against each other, as it could get grease between the tiles over time, and may look dirty. If you're a thorough cleaner, though, it may work. I had the same dilemma when installing my tile, as the grout lines are too white and too wide for my liking, but it still looks lovely. I'm no expert, but I hope this helps.

A: Hi, Cathy! Though this is a matter of personal preference, we would not recommend installing our Klinker Alcazar Celosia without grout as this is an extruded quarry tile with rough, uneven edges that are not intended to accommodate no grout spacing. A: Hi, Jodi! Our Klinker Alcazar Petunia is too thick to use dry cutting methods, but can easily be cut using a wet saw with a diamond-tipped blade. If you have any further questions, please give us a call at (800)-963-7652.
