A: Hi there! We do not recommend using this tool for removing car lug nuts. We recommend using an Impact Wrench like our M18 FUEL™ w/ ONE-KEY™ High Torque 1/2” Impact Wrench (2863-20). - Milwaukee Tool, Social Team

A: No, you can not. This tool is used to drive long screws and other fasteners like lag bolts into wood. Great for building a deck. You need an impact wrench for taking lug nuts off of cars. You also should use impact rated sockets, not the regular kind used for general mechanical work.

A: Hello Ryan, you can use the M18 18V Lithium-Ion Compact Brushless Cordless 1/4 in. Impact Driver Kit to take off wheels.

A: It is not the ideal tool for removing lug nuts, but depending on what kind of car and the lug nut torque, it could do it. I’ve used it to remove Honda Pilot nuts, just to see if it would. Just be aware that the drive is really too small for that type of torque (it’s made for screws, not bolts) and you’ll be overworking the tool which will likely shorten its life, along with the bit inserts.

A: It might, but you probably shouldn’t do that.
Get an impact wrench not a driver.
