Q:what is the diameter of the linear T12 of the 48" fluorescent light?
by|Jan 25, 2024
1 Answer
Answer This Question
A: The diameter of a T12 linear fluorescent light bulb is approximately 1.5 inches (38mm). However, it's important to note that T12 bulbs are being phased out due to legislation laws and replaced with more energy-efficient alternatives such as T8 and T5 bulbs. T12 also comes in TLED - which might be a better option to switch to in the future

Q:13 months! In my kitchen. I bought the more expensive lights so I wouldn't have to keep changing them. They are pretty much on during dinner prep. Something isn't right with these. Totally disappointed.

Answer This Question
A: Depends on the ballast you have. I replaced mine with a newer version (Phillips Advance) that do have a warm up time. All the lamps instantly turn on about 1.5 seconds after throwing the switch. I read somewhere that longer start time saves the heater inside and extends bulb life.

A: This will ultimately depend on the ballast in your light fixture.
