Q:How thick is this? My garage door only has about 1/8" gap between it and the ground.

A: You will have a 1/2" of excess material to deal with. It will work but will not look great. This is a nail on strip so you can adjust that excess to be either all on the inside of the garage or 1/4" evenly protruding on the outside and inside of the door.

A: The bottom seal overall width is 2.75" outside to outside edge. The effective sealing width is 1.5" after attachment.
The door width was 9 LF.

A: The longer edge is 1 1/4". It depends upon where the gap is located as to if the seal will cover it.

A: A 2" gap is a stretch for this product. I would say from a 0.25" to a 1.5" gap would be more suitable for this type of strip to have a good ground contact.
