Q:Can this cut glass bottles? I have been trying to use a dremel hand tool and I get really jagged edges or the glass cracks in places I don't want it to. Advice? Suggestions?

A: Get the glass blade and go slow. Of all the glass tile i've cut, no problems at all.

The 700XT has been tested to cut glass tiles while using a 7" glass cutting blade. The 7" glass cutting blade is model number 6-7006GLQ.

A: I do not recommend using this on glass bottles. It would be very dangerous and with the blade guard impractical.

Q:Does it work on glass backsplash. For this one your supposed to use a diamond blade. Will this one work for that type of tile

A: Only 22.5 and 45 degrees. Both the table moves to these angles and the slide glide does the same in the other dimension.

A: Yes but only at 2 specific angles, 45 and 22.5 degrees. There is no other adjustment.

A: Yes , while it comes with guides you can use... i prefer to mark the tile for right where I want it cut and then walk it through right through the middle of the line.

A: The blade sits in water, so yes, it "slings" the water up to the cutting surface and lubricates.

A: yes it will if you turn on the blade with the plastic blade cover raised. But if you keep it down its actually quit clean.
