A fine tile saw
So this tile saw works. Thats all i can really say about it, nothing too amazing. The sliding rip guide is a bit annoying to slide back and forth, also doesnt line up so well. The extending arm is great for longer tiles too. My biggest complaint is replacing the tile blade, they claim its a 7", but i just replaced it with a dewalt 7" blade and it doesnt fit.

    Blade Guard
I was concerned when I purchased this cutter as it’s cheap. Well my concerns came to fruition as the blade guard that is connected with two small screws into plastic, one stripped and then the second eventually came loose after two tiles! Now both are stripped and the blade guard no longer can attaches = dangerous open diamond blade spinning, shooting water in your face which will only lead to disaster. This is a dangerous product and HD should not sell it.

We are sorry that you had an issue with this tile saw. The blade guard slides under the metal table. If the screws stripped out, they most likely were tightened with excessive force.

It was inexpensive and did the job but I wouldn't recommend so a newbe or someone who has never cut and laid tile.

      Good saw for the price
It worked very well for this tile job. The only reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars is that it bogged down while cutting these very large tiles.

      Cuts more than the 4in
Better than the 4in blade model, stays wet. Plastic is more than tough enough for home use. We are using ours for cutting rocks and geodes.

It does a good job once you get the hang of it...
It’s a $99 wet saw. It does what it’s supposed to do. If you want factory looking edges, get a thick (brick) file and very carefuly file the blade (Do at your own risk). The process resulted in very nice edges. My tile size is 10x40, so It would be nice if the machine was a tad bigger. But the size of my tile has nothing to do with my evaluation of the saw.

For the price this was a great purchase, easy set up, easy use, easy to clean. Common to all table saws the guide arm needs to be tripled checked for lining up on long straight cuts. I used this on a backsplash 6"x3" tiles and it worked like a charm.

No clean cuts, broke multiple tile in half
I have used less expensive tile saws and had better quality cuts. I tried multiple tiles and every time it got to the middle of the tile it cracked it half.

            It’s...alright
I have been in construction for 13 years, and I specialize in tile. I bought this saw for a quick job instead of going to my shop to grab my full size wet saw. 6 cuts on 12” tiles and I was less than impressed. Granted the cuts were around 1/2 inch, it was binding every 6 inches. I think for bigger cuts it may work, however I cannot say.

Aside from the poor quality blade that came with the saw it does very well. It should be great for the typical handy homeowner type that wants to do a bathroom or two, maybe a kitchen upgrade. I have only used it to cut ceramic tile so far. When I first used the saw it vibrated across the floor like one of those old-style vibrating football games. I put in a new high-quality blade and it made a huge difference. Smooth clean cuts. And pretty quiet too. Adjustable table let you cut 45 degree angles as well. It's very lightweight as there is a lot of plastic in the unit. But if you're just using it at home it's a bargain. Just buy a new blade before you walk out of the store .

              Just finished THIRD tile project
When i purhased this, I bought an extra diamond blade, expecting the original to wear out. I finished a large kitchen floor with large format ceramic tile when my wife wanted a marble mosaic backsplash. I cut over 40 feet of marble to frame things. Today, i finished a shower with both large and small tile. I returned my extra blade as the original filled the bill. Well worth the price!

                Buy a better one!
Yes it works…just not that great! I should have stopped after cutting the first tile and returned it. Instead I bought a new blade…that didn’t help. Again it works…just not well. In the end I suffered through the aggravations and disappointment. If I tile my second bathroom I will buy a better saw!! This one ain’t worth it.

It's not useful. I'm really thinking of returning it. Don't use it because it doesn't work for what I really wanted. It's basic and damages the piece.

                  great for the price
Cut about 20 square feet of marble subway sized tile about 3/8 thick for kitchenette backsplash. Supplied blade worked well with minimal chipping. Powerful motor and only bogged down if i bound up the blade with crooked cut. I can recommend this saw for homeowner dyi projects. I liked the price and size. Didn't like the way fence locked and always double checked it. The water tank was a bit small. My older Rigid saw of similar size died mid job so i purchased this saw per the sales associate recommendations. It does the job. No frills.

i dont know if i could give a review because i ordered it online. when i picked it up i realized it is so small. i did not even open it. it had a 3/4 p but looked like it would not cut big tile.

A decent saw for the price
I bought this for a bathroom remodel. It preformed well enough. Pretty clean cuts and you can't beat it for this price range... Some cons: the blade that comes with it is terrible, do yourself a favor and buy a different one for it. Lastly the top metal plate for me has already shown signs of wear and rust, why they would use a corrosive susceptible metal on a machine that is constantly in water is beyond me. Anyways this is a cheap and effective machine, would recommend if you are on a budget.

                      waste of money
bought this today and will be returning it. never had a wet saw power out while cutting a tile before. you can hardly put any pressure and it dies out. also doesn't have a drain plug and spills water everywhere.

Cutting tile is not like cutting wood is a much slower cut. If you push too hard it will cause the blade to bind and stop as well if you don’t cut the tile straight it will bind the saw blade and cause it to stop. This saw does not have a drain plug. We recommend filling the tub with just enough water above the drainage hole so that the blade gets wet upon cutting. Customer Care QEP
Does what I need, but haven't used it enough to know the long term durability. Only suggestion is to use a level to line up the blade with the blade guard attachment

Good value. It worked really well. Used it to redo our entire guest bathroom. My only advice is to get a waterproof table to put it on.

Great little tile saw - for the money
I used it for subway tile (not a challenging application) and it worked really well. Great for 90 degree cut-offs. 45 degree cuts are a bit more challenging, but very do-able. A rafters square helps with alignment. The instructions are good and worth reading. Users with some common sense and modest mechanical ability should quickly see what this saw is, and isn't. I suggest a few of the one-star reviewers return the saw and hire someone to do your tile, before you hurt yourself.
