Q:Can you use this on a concrete chimney in a basement?
by|Jan 20, 2024
1 Answer
Answer This Question
A: QUIKRETE Concrete Patch Compound can be used for repairs to fill surface imperfections and cracks up ¼ inch (6 mm) deep in concrete, masonry and stucco. Do not use it in any areas that can be exposed to temperatures greater than 180 °F. Please note that this material is an acrylic latex formulation that is not meant for structural repairs. The repair surface must be sound, clean, unsealed/uncoated, and free of dirt, dust, loose debris and any other potential bond breakers. When making repairs, getting a good color match will be difficult. We recommend trialing the repair material in an inconspicuous area and waiting a minimum of 24 hours to ensure the appearance is acceptable before proceeding with the project.
