A: Hello there. Thank you for your question. The Bladerunner’s guide arm has a vacuum attachment port for dust removal. The vacuum adapter directly accommodates a 1-1/4” hose, a common size for most workshop vacuums.

Q:Can the blade protector arm be removed for a long Rip cut? This part is connected from the back of the saw that holds the blade protector & Vacuum attachment (See Attached Picture) or the actual cut of the wood goes through the thin vertical arm support.

A: MUST USE A VERY FINE BLADE
by|Apr 14, 2022
A: Oh, for absolutely certain? It will accurately rip or crosscut hard woods, softwoods, or plywood up to 1/2 thick, easily. Depending upon the blade you choose to install it will cut quickly or very smoothly. The saw eliminates the danger of larger saws, but provides excellent performance. The saw is easy to use and maintain.

A: Yes. It cuts thin material well. But only thin matertial. Anything much over a quarter inch thick of so, I would go with another saw.

Q:1- Does it come assembled or an assembly is needed?
2- what is the minimum gauge it can cut? I have some wooden pieces that need to be reduced by 1/8” alongside. Is this something this saw can do?
Thanks!

A: Hi Mona! To keep your shipping cost to a minimum, the Rockwell Blade Runner does ship with minor assembly required. Attaching the guide arm and installing a blade will take less than 5 minutes and require no tools. It has a stroke length of 3/4” and can handle rip cuts in wood up to 1-1/2".

A: The saw comes assembled and only the safety arm needs to be installed. This takes only a few minutes to put together. The challenge to the minimum gauge it can cut is holding the wood in place during the cut. If you have longer pieces you will be fine. This saw can definitely do this.
