    A:  Do not buy this charger. I keep mine up on charge and it has failed me time and time again. The battery won't charge past 70% now.

          Q:The charging light and digital display never turn off (not plugged in and everything switched to Off). DId I get a defective one or is this normal (seems like a waste of energy)?

          A:  Probably defective, my light is on only when i push the button or when it's charging. I did do a 2 year extend warranty on mine. So far no problems and has started my trucks dead battery numerous times.
