A: I'd like to know this too. Important info missing like the width and length. I need to hammer staples into 1/4" diameter sisal cording into solid wood. Needs to be longer than 1/2" & I assume the 1/2" is the length, not the width others say it is...

A: We have to be careful how we answer this question due to the diversity in code interpretation across the country. UL tested our products for one cable, which is pretty much standard. We are aware however that many contractors run two, 12 or 14 cables with no problem. These can physically hold even 3 and 4 cables securely, however some inspectors will only allow one cable regardless of leg length and holding capacity. It is important that you check with your local code inspector to make sure what meets code in your area.

A: It depends on the gauge of the cable. This staple is 9/16th of an inch.
