Q:Can this panel be service fed overhead? If so, what is part number for the kit?

Answer This Question
A: Hello James,
For ALL of the 400amp CSED, the main utility wires CANNOT enter the top endwall of the device, due to lack of wire bending space. Because the meter socket is located at top, preventing the wire from being terminated from the top.
If the main wires need to come from 'Overhead' or an overhead mast, the wires can be brought down past the device and enter either through the bottom side wall or the bottom endwall of the meter socket compartment. Square D offers a 'Overhead Feed Trough" (or wireway), catalog number OCK400 that can be used with ALL Surface Mount ONLY 400amp CSED. SEE CAD DRAWING #3326 for a visual of the trough.
For Semi-Flush applications the OCK400 wireway would NOT be used, because the device would be Semi-Flush inside the wall and the wireway is not for Semi-Flush mounting.

There will be no single main on this device as this falls in the "up to 6 disconnect" equipment.
