Q:Do you have the O-rings for Suncast 100 ft side tracker wall mount hose reel for sale?

Answer This Question

A:  Yes, in the loose hardware bins. Bring your original O-ring set to compare side by side and use liberal amounts of silicone grease on them to assure longer life and a better seal.

A:  I am not certain with this product but I have purchased a short 2-3 foot hose from Home Depot that works just fine

      by|Mar 26, 2020

A:  The hose is purchased separately from the reel.

        by|Mar 26, 2020

A:  Any regular garden hose will fit. Just make sure you don’t go any longer than the original 100’ hose.

A:  No, the hose with this model can't be sold separately.

A:  it is the standard 16" stud width

                  by|Jun 22, 2019

A:  The mounting holes are reasonably placed for securing to any structure, the back mounting plastic is weak, flawed, causing it to crack and fall off the wall. I even added a couple of extra mounting screws as to give it some extra strength, that didn't work either. I went through four of this side tracker hose reel, never again.

A:  On the model I have which is now two (2) years old the mounting holes are 9" apart. MG

A:  Unsure of the exact spacing as its currently mounted. What I can tell u is that I bought this to replace an older one that had since broken. I was quite delighted that the mounting holes lined up perfectly!

A:  Can't tell you the dimensions of the four bottom holes but I strongly urge you to add a 1" washer outside of the fifth hole on top. Mine cracked off easily with a 75 feet of 3/4" hose on it.

A:  The frame is pretty light weight so it would be top heavy with a hose full of water on the reel. Read the reviews. You really don't want to buy this reel. It will leak. It will break. It will leave you feeling hopeless.

A:  I don't think so, as the product name is "side tracker wall mount." If set on the ground it would be top-heavy, regardless to how light your water hose is.

A:  No. It is meant to hang on the wall. The hose actually comes out thru the bottom of the unit.

A:  To answer this question I took a close look at my wall mount reel, on which I use an extra lightweight hose. I don't believe it would work well on the ground because of balance issues and the mounting holes are located on the back of the unit. Drilling more holes would only weaken the structure. Suncast makes a variety of hose reels that are designed to stand alone and are very sturdy. MG

A:  Before attempting to replace the "O" rings, make sure you have the reel properly seated (put sufficient pressure on the reel while pushing it into place). I actually had a leakage problem until I realized that I had not pushed the reel entirely into place. Another slightly helpful note that I learned the hard way. Use the new style very soft/expandable hoses, they weigh much less and put less pressure on the reel and 100' fits well. MG

Better yet, Suncast should just post the info on their website.

A:  Suggestions: 1. Make sure the black O-rings have not been dislodged. 2. From my experience, it may leak more on cold days. The O-rings lose flexibility. 3. Save yourself a lot of grief and return it to your local Home Depot and find another solution. Note the large number of bad reviews on this product.
