Q:Are these incandescent OR NOT?? SAYS incandescent , then says 2700K, which is LED. I'm fed up with dim, cold LEDs. LED light is cold/depressing and dim/eye-straining if you are trying to read. I need a 100-watt INCANDESCENT bulb for reading.

Answer This Question
A: This is an incandescent bulb. 2700K doesn't mean it is LED. That is a color temperature and has nothing to do with the kind of bulb it is.

A: 40 watt........

A: These bulbs are more designed to be used in ceiling fans and decorative fixtures. I would not suggest using them on an outdoor light post. Besides, 40 watts for an outdoor light post will not really provide you with enough light. I would suggest going with a minimum of a 60 watt bulb instead. It should also be noted on the fixture itself on what the suggested maximum wattage can be for the socket. I do not recommend exceeding what it states.

A: 110 volt and will work in any indoor or outdoor lamp fixture just as long as the bulb is protected from the weather such as rain and snow.

A: These bulbs can be used in any 110 volt bulb outlet. They are rugged and survive the weather. They did well in the -3F Cold nap this winter at my house. Same bulbs still going strong.

A: I would not recommend it. These are designed to withstand vibrations from a ceiling fan, not excessive heat or cold. You are better off looking for an appliance bulb for those purposes.

A: This bulb would be fine in a refrigerator but it is not recommended for use in an oven. You would want to use one that is rated for appliance use. This particular bulb is a ceiling fan bulb.
